Does the prospect of a government-guaranteed job appeal to you? You’ve got company: nearly half of U.S. voters like the idea, according to a recent poll. The proposal has been getting some traction on the left lately, after being floated by think tanks and embraced by likely Democratic presidential candidates including Sens. Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand and Bernie Sanders. In a new Rasmussen Reports poll, 46% said they favored such a program. Sanders, according to the Washington Post, backs a version that would see local and state governments offer proposals for public works projects. Workers would be hired for at least $15 an hour with paid family and medical leave.

Actually, I’m retired, and this is a really dumb idea; how does that work, you get a full salary, but only pay 30% of it back in taxes, and it supposed to be some kind of miracle?

I really see this as another harbinger of a pending split of the nation in the not too distant future, an alarming sounding idea but one that I think may necessarily be the only way that we conservatives will ever be able to ourselves of a progressive culture that is in opposition to everything we believe and hold dear....Agreed! I’m for it. But only if we call it “The Federal Work Farm,” require “workers” to live there, get drug tested monthly, and receive no other welfare benefits.
Shouldn’t cost too much after you subtract the welfare benefits (money, EBT cards, Section 8, etc)

Since post-17th Amendment ratification federal politicians undoubtedly push unconstitutional wealth redistribution programs so that they can follow the unconstitutional federal tax dollars to DC, patriots could probably get rid of the propaganda polls if they did the following.
Patriots need to work with their state lawmakers to support Pres. Trump in leading the states to repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.

Many years ago a friend of mine was ribbing our county commissioner saying; He called an ambulance out saying they had a man down and they rushed out and picked up 6 guys before they got the right one.
