You could be right!

The chief meteorologist retired a year or so ago at the station we watch. The years he was there, they were pretty accurate. With him gone, not so much. I think the new gals were hired because they like to wear second-skin dresses and the tv station figures men will watch just to see them. LOL!

Yeah, I really am bummed!
That restaurant is special in that the Freepers who came to Maine were taken to dinner there on the last night before heading back to Texas.
It was becoming a tradition.

You could get a fantastic Prime Rib dinner there for under 25 bucks!
It was a funky but upscale Steak house.
It will be missed!

Doubly a bummer.
Losing a good steak house and seeing the end of a tradition.

All’s quiet at the nest at the moment but you can go back to watch a feeding.
The best thing is the wind isn’t roaring today. You can actually listen to and enjoy the forest sounds for a change.

It will be missed. Y’all celebrate your anniversary dinners there, too, right? I usually got a little steak and they were always perfect. I will miss it and the whole ambiance of the place. :(

Why are they closing?

If it’s the same one that was here a while back, she’s the coolest wild turkey. I really hope she’s still around because it would be neat to see her again. She was fun to have around.

I’ve got pix of her somewhere and need to dig a couple out.

I’m still fuming a bit about Hubby not getting pix today, especially of Roxy rubbing up to it. She’s the only one of the outside cats who was here when Dingbat showed up before. It seems like she recognized the bird.

Took a couple of minutes to find the CD the pix of Dingbat were on. That silly bird was here longer ago than I realized. It was June 2013.

This was taken when she first showed up. She kept walking up to us and it made me nervous at first.

The end of the gutter over the back porch was her favorite roosting spot at night. Silly bird.

She doesn’t look very comfortable up there....maybe lying IN the gutter would be better than across it. LOL!

No, she didn’t look comfy, did she? But that’s where she slept at night for the couple of weeks she was here.

The cats were still staying outside at night then and I’d go out to sit with them several times throughout the night. The back door is under the gutter and she knew that was where I’d show up. She’d wake up for a few minutes and make little noises at me, then go back to sleep.

During the day, she would hang out close to the garage because Hubby was out there.

Silly bird liked people apparently.
