Wrong. The day after the Horowitz report is released Trump should fire Sessions using the rationale that the department has endemic problems that REQUIRE new leadership committed to restoring integrity and public confidence in the DOJ and FBI.
I hope Trump fires him in a the most dismissive way possible.

He has been, and continues to be, a useful resource to them. They want him to remain in place. They have more “tasks” in mind for their plant.
If Jeffery B. Sessions was an Honorable man he would quit now! He doesn’t need to ask POTUS for permission, all he has to do is announce that he is resigning effective at 4pm.
Failure to do so shows that Sessions is not an honorable man and will end up being the joke that most of us think he is.
Is Sessions a star witness for Mueller’s bogus obstruction investigation? Something tells me he is.
The “old” Donald Trump would have already fired Sessions but, we have a “new” Donald, the kinder, genteeler, Donald. He WILL eventually give Sessions the option to gracefully step down to save his reputation or, at worst be fired. So far that option doesn't seem to been offered, at least not yet.
As if no other president expected his Attorney General to be in tune with, and support, his agenda and goals.
Imagine the reaction if Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch had not supported Obama.
Sessions' blind eye to all of the corruption in the FBI and DOJ and his willingness to let corrupt Obama holdovers run wild in the DOJ do not make him an object of sympathy.

Sessions has got to go. He’s not doing the job he was appointed to do.
Or Sessions could do his damn job. There’s no reason to carry water for Jeff and insult the president here. I must have missed all the “recuse yourself” rallies.
It's now 5D, don't you know. We say such thinking that the Sessions supporters and Q-bots are too filled with glee at the moment to respond to this latest gambit.

His job is to be a buffer between Trump and Rosenstein.
I’m not sure he would leave even if Trump fired him publicly.
There is a very simple way out. Resign Sessions. You suck and you’ve been ineffective. Tell the American people that you’ve lost the confidence of the President and don’t feel that you can continue in your job.
I think Trump is not firing anybody because the more the wheels come off of this scam in a very public way, the more it is helping Trump.
