D'Souza was targeted after releasing his documentary, 2016: Obama's America, that severely criticized President Obama's statist policies.

No he wasn't. He was targeted for his Hillary Clinton documentary.

D’Souza is no victim, he broke the law, knowingly and wantonly, and honestly got off damned light for his crimes..

Really? He served 8 months and paid a $30,000 fine for donating $20,000!

So please name all of his many crimes and what you believe the appropriate sentences should have been!

Even liberal Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz felt that the prosecution was unfair: "The idea of charging him with a felony for this doesn't sound like a proper exercise of prosecutorial discretion.... I can't help but think that [D'Souza's] politics have something to do with it.... It smacks of selective prosecution." He went on to say such alleged campaign violations are common in politics.

Trump:

Joseph M. Arpaio
Kristian Mark Saucier
Scooter Libby
Jack Johnson
Dinesh D'Souza

0bama:

"Proud to make this one of my final actions as President. America is a nation of second chances, and 1,715 people deserved that shot."

Were any of these many 0bama pardons, for victims that didn't break the law?

“Liberals had no problem with that, even after Rich’s wife gave millions to Clinton in exchange for the pardon.”

That’s not all she gave him, I’ll bet you money Slick jumped her bones a few times as well!

Before sentencing, the judge read in court that D'Souza was "arrogant" and "intolerant of others' feelings.

Surprised someone hasn't beaten the teeth out of judgey-wudgey's lying face...

The conviction he pled to is used on Twitter constantly by the Left to mock him and shut him down.

Same with James O'Keefe.

The Lefties have been at this little game for DECADES.

Look at Ollie North, and the "23 indictments" quacking going on now.

HamiltonJay has been on FR for nearly 20 years, and hasn't figured out what the Left is up to at all times.

I remember a Lefty mocking us in 1997 over Whitewater and "no convictions of anyone in the Clinton administration".

Due to Ron "Perforated Skull" Brown kicking the bucket, the statement was true when Clinton left office.

She made sure to come back and mock us over it again...

You don’t get it do you? We have so many laws, people regularly break the law without even knowing about it. How many laws have you broken in the last year sir or ma’am? Please get off your high horse. Be careful not to twist an ankle when you land.

Rosie O’Donnel utilizing 4 different variations of her name and 5 different New York addresses constitutes blatant egregious violations. She knew she was over the limit and was nefariously covering her tracks.

The things I learned in my gov’t career:

There’s no such thing as an open-door policy.

There’s no such thing as non-attribution.

There’s no such thing as non-retaliation.

I'm glad Trump pardoned D’Souza because it makes the Left completely freak out.

On the other hand, I have no sympathy at all for D’Souza.

The guy worked his entire adult life in politics. He knew what he did was clearly against the law. He also knew that Conservatives will always be singled out for especially harsh treatment when they break the law.

My theory is that D’Souza had a crush on, or had a relationship with, the Senate candidate Wendy Long.

Since D’Souza knew Wendy Long had absolutely no chance of being elected, a love interest by D’Souza is the only motive that makes sense to me.

He violated campaign finance law... he committed fraud!!! The maximum punishment for his crimes were well above what he got both in fiscal restitution and prison time!

He got off damned light for the crimes he committed!

I do get it and you attempt to claim D’Souza just violated some obscure law and is a victim is nonsense and flat out ignorant. He knew damned well he was violating the law, he conspired with others in order to violate the law! This wasn’t some guy living his life and got caught up wearing purple on the wrong day or something unknowingly.

He knew it was against the law for him to give more to the campaign and knowingly went out and found strawmen to pass along more donations from him to it. He’s a criminal, he conspired to commit fraud and violated the law. He’s not a victim, he’s a liar and a criminal. He did it willingly and fully knowing what he did was illegal.

Trying to spin this as some awe geez I didn’t know is completely disingenuous.

You can tie yourself up in ignorance and/or denial to defend this action, and be just another toadie, no different from the folks who defended every action Obama made no matter how ridiculous, but this pardon is garbage, and while Trump has the right to make it, don’t count me among those who are going to defend it or him for it.

This one stinks to high heaven, and no amount of partisan lipstick is making this pig pretty.

He did? How do you know what he was thinking?

He’s a criminal, he conspired to commit fraud and violated the law.

No, he's not! He was given a full pardon by the President of the United States.

He’s not a victim, he’s a liar and a criminal. He did it willingly and fully knowing what he did was illegal.

Once again, how do you know he lied? Maybe it is you that is the liar and the criminal.

There is potential logic to what you say but on a gut level I don’t want any breaks for that loathesome prick.
