[ The first option is a remote possibility. The second option is lala land. ]

I’d be thrilled to pick Door #1 and be proven wrong.

Absolutely! For a very long time I have thought he was the “insurance policy” and now apparently a pipeline to the corrupt in the FBI and the DOJ! Slimy skunk that he is!

They didn't have to.

It does look like Trump is pushing Sessions out and hoping he will get the message and resign. But....that might not happen. In which case, Trump can fire him (after the Horowitz report is released) and say that he needs to clean the slate to REBUILD the DOJ and FBI so that he can RESTORE integrity to those agencies and make them ACCOUNTABLE to the people.

The country knows Sessions is disloyal, has obstructed legitimate congressional inquiries, and is an utter failure. People will be glad to see him go. They know its time for a change.

At the time Sessions was nominated it was thought by many that he was gung ho MAGA. That’s why the Democrats opposed him.

After Sessions got the job and demonstrated, by recusing and turning the DOJ over to to pro-Hillary anti-Trumper Rosenstein, that he was one with the swamp, the Democrats embraced him. When Trump raised the possibility of firing Sessions, no one screamed louder than Schumer. The Dems were fully behind Sessions at that point.

Sessions seems more concerned with medical marijuana, than with with efforts to take down Trump.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Sessions was one of the informants?

***************

Sessions may well have been a Deep State plant from the get go. Given his refusal to do his job, his disloyalty to Trump, and his role in obstructing congress’ investigation, that’s not an unreasonable conclusion.

If Trump did not collude with the Russians, which I believe he didn’t and there is no evidence he did, then it doesn’t matter if Sessions is in charge or not - Mueller would have to produce irrefutable evidence to bring a real case against Trump. Mueller has nothing, not even evidence in the case against the 13 Russians he indicted.

What actually needs to happen is, A, Sessions rezigns, or B, somehow, someway, Mueller’s never-ending witch hunt concludes. If Trump fires Sessions while Mueller is still devoting every waking moment to destroying the Trump presidency, bad things will happen.

Then why did they vote overwhelmingly for Rosenstein ?

And your 'handle' is truth_seeker? Perhaps, just maybe you might check out what all Sessions has done... DACA and other illegals can be ship out pronto IF they are dealing dope... It is a very sad state of affairs when so called conservatives are in favor of Soros's money spent to get this nation buzzed on dope.

“Sessions recused himself. He does not have some secret plan.
He is not working behind the scenes. He is recused. If he was caught
working behind the scenes with some secret plan, it would be a huge
scandal, in itself.
The fact is Sessions is on the sidelines on the biggest scandal in
American history...by his own choice.”

Exactly and Trump knows timing is everything.

I believe the republicans will hold onto both houses of Congress.

If they do, I predict heads will be rolling down Pennsylvania Avenue like bowling balls.

Mueller has a lot more than nothing. He has the full support of the media and of the swamp. He can present even the weakest case for obstruction, knowing that the media will latch onto and amplify it all day every day. Most of the Permanent Political Class is just salivating to get rid of Trump. Any politically survivable pretext will do.

The fats that matter to “sessions bashers” are the crimes committed by people who sessions leave out walking around free.

What facts matter to you sessions cream puffers.

The Republicans have promised to impeach him if he does.

Maybe. But it would be the end of the Republican Party. For good.

Who else would you want to vindicate Trump but a “pro-Hillary anti-Trumper Rosenstein” who “was one with the swamp, and the Democrats embraced him” ?
If Sessions vindicated Trump, everyone would say “it’s fixed, his own guy white washed the investigation”.

Your words (my emphasis)
“When Trump raised the possibility of firing Sessions, NO ONE screamed louder than Schumer. THE DEMS WERE FULLY BEHIND SESSIONS...”
So now the dumb dems can’t go against Sessions, they have been praising and supporting him all along.

Don’t forget that Sessions very quietly appointed John Huber as a Special Prosecutor back in October or November of 2017 and never mentioned a word of it until sometime in March, when he wanted to. John Huber as Special Prosecutor has way more power than Mueller.
