Inspector General Michael Horowitz informed lawmakers weeks ago on Capitol Hill his much-anticipated 400 page report on the FBIs handling of Hillary Clintons email investigation entered the final stages.
Lawyers for the subjects included in the report were given a draft copy to prepare rebuttals for their clients which is what partially led to delays in releasing the report to the public.
DiGenova says the other reason for the delay is that Rod Rosenstein is scrubbing and redacting in order to protect the department employees.

It apparently annoys you that anyone might have an opinion contrary to your own, but I cant help that. Time will tell...
It is “apparent” that a deluded sore loser Cruzlim such as yourself is unwilling to ever see POTUS in a positive light.
Well *that* would explain it. The Cruz supporters made practically everything personal.
That is ludicrous, since I supported Trump over Cruz (and everybody else). Nobody but Donald Trump could have won against the stacked deck, and nobody but Trump would be able to accomplish what President Trump is doing now. Donald Trump is uniquely suited for this time and place, and it is my considered opinion that President Trump is holding all the cards and driving the current narrative. Some disagree, and that is fine. As I said, time will tell.
"We had it all ready to go! And then, my dog knocked over a bucket of Bleach Bit on the whole thing..."
Then they can spend the next few months trying to get an unredacted version and the cycle will continue until the next general election
My understanding is that all the people who are listed in the report are allowed to review what it states about them with their lawyer present. They can argue points made, ask for clarifications, etc. which are in turn reviewed by the OIG staff. The report is NOT revised but any complaints, clarifications, etc. which are agreed upon, are written as a footnote or addendum to the original report. I think the reason the report is stalled is because MANY names are included in the report and their lawyers are dragging their feet. Rosenstein CANNOT change the original report; however, he can request redactions using “National Security” bs. OIG can refuse those arguments.
. Donald Trump is uniquely suited for this time and place, and it is my considered opinion that President Trump is holding all the cards and driving the current narrative.
POTUS was certainly not holding all the cards on the stinking pile of garbage Omnibus bill. The GOP flat out refuses to support him. So you might want to revise your opinion there.
DiGenova putting himself back in the news.
Trump can pretty much do whatever he wants. If this is not being released in its entirety could be Trump wants it that way. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
“Where do you get the slightest piece of actual evidence that Trump has been lying all along?”
I guess you think you’re pretty clever putting words in people’s mouths and asking them to defend things they never said. But it doesn’t come off as clever, it comes off as childish and annoying.
Always a Marine didn’t ever say Trump was lying and you know it.
That kind of obtuse behavior only discourages reasoned discourse - but then you aren’t here for that - you are only here to repeat your tiresome narrative.
“This ad hominem bilge is disgusting. Are you incapable are arguing the issue? Is getting personal really the best you can do?”
You are describing yourself to a T.
If Joe is right, my sense is that those who need to be fired are protecting some kind of secret which might implicate their involvement in things detrimental to the country during the previous administration...Something, perhaps, that Trump knows about. What else could possibly engender the irrational, unfounded and relentless need to smear and get rid of him as they drag their feet on information the voters of this nation are entitled to?
Could not agree more-----the "release act" is Kabuki theatre.
Trump ALREADY knows everything there is to know and has known for some time.
In politics, as in life, timing is everything. I'd say closer to midterms might be ideal.
And you know this because...?
(Since the delay is in the public release, not involving an earlier release to Congress...)
Rosenstein should be fired and held for prosecution for felony sedition!
If it can be scrubbed it is not the IGS report and it is, basically, WORTHLESS. So, big surprise, the IG is somebodies bitch. The Swamp is wide and deep and it will take a hell of a lot more than Trump to drain it...
An opinion without one piece of evidence to back it up is called a fantasy. There is not one piece of evidence that Sessions, Rosenstein and Trump are working together on some super secret anti Deep State plan. There is however a ton of evidence that Sessions is either a coward or a traitor and that Rosenstein is a rat.
We all know that Rosenstein’s redactions in the name of national security are actually cya redactions.
And Rosenstein aint the king of the hill. The investigating committes will eventually get to see the report unredacted.
Why no leaks of the real one? If Trump were the subject of it, the NY Times would have published the entire document, unblemished. We tolerate their illegality, while we adhere to the law on our side.
I think it was Alan Dershowitz who said they need to submit every iteration of the report. When they submit the final, it needs to be accompanied by the original and every single draft between original and final. (How can he see what’s going on and still defend Hillary? I don’t get it.)
