The true reality is if somebody wanted to do me harm, they could probably do that with relative ease and that is sad, said Rep. Chuck Fleishmann (R-Tenn.), a New York City native.
And members of Congress arent allowed to carry around their licensed concealed guns while in Washington, taking away one option to defend themselves.
Im trained at what I do and how I do it with a weapon, said Rep. Mike Bishop (R-Mich.), who backs concealed carry reciprocity legislation. If I had the ability to carry, I would feel safer.
On the morning of June 14, 2017, liberal activist James Hodgkinson opened fired at the Alexandria, Virginia, practice field.

That’s how it should be.
LOL! Which part?
The attack on the Baseball practice has not been fully explained. What about the train mishap? Rand Paul’s neighbor got that angry? DC pols loyal to their Republican base should be VERY afraid. That’s too much coincidence.
The part where the government is afraid of the people, rather than the other way around.
What I fear is they, like officials in California and elsewhere, will quietly exempt themselves, giving them CCW while leaving the rest of us citizens without same equal rights.
Thats how it should be.”
“Barnhardt: Tell me, Hilda, does all this frighten you? Does it make you feel insecure?
Hilda: Yes, sir, it certainly does.
Barnhardt: That’s good, Hilda. I’m glad.
Why not? DC now has "shall issue" CCW, and Congress has the power to set the CCW rules on Capitol Hill.
Works for me. Because right now they sure aren’t. And, most of them have ZERO respect for everyday folks out here.
“Politicians fear for safety as threats against Congress skyrocket”
Congress never deals with a problem unless it affects their wallets or safety.
What about the train mishap?
Truck driver charged:
No, I’d say it’s bad. They aren’t afraid of normal functioning people voting them out of office (which is a useful fear), they are afraid of being shot by lunatics. It is clear that the Democrats are already terrified of the most insane portions of the base, and are acting on their demands. That is not a useful sort of fear, it is destructive and corrosive.
To busy with real issues like immigration votes. How about we quit using our tax dollars to support a lof of this crap? Works for me. I look at it as breaking and entering or possibly criminal trespass and theft. No doubt national reciprocity is NOT high on the list. But, for me, the 2nd is our permit.
Good. Be scared that you can’t carry personal firearms in Washington.
Then change the law. That’s what we pay you for.
So you can’t CCW in the District of Corruption and are scared ?
Poor widdle babies, welcome to OUR WORLD !!!
Well I don’t care. Just like you jackasses in (see My Tagline) don’t care about Us Citizens.
Then fix the problem dipsticks. For ALL of Us...
If they are allowed to carry in the Capitol and congressional offices then why can't I?
They Deserve to be Afraid and they deserve NO special Considerations whatsoever. I will even go further, in order to Protect our faithful Public Servants, we should make it a FELONY for ANY Public Servant to have any person in their employ or employed on their behalf to be in possession of ANY weapon, Firearm or Ammunition.
Until the US Constitution is recognized Nationwide they can all KISS MY ASS!!!
Agreed. These slime of both, or any, political party should be in a state of constant fear.
