Aaron Rich, the brother of Seth Rich, filed a lawsuit in April in US District Court in the District of Columbia, against the Ed Butowsky , a wealth management and financial adviser who financed a private investigator to help the Rich family find Seth’s killer(s); Matt Couch and his media company, America First Media; and the conservative-leaning newspaper the Washington Times for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy, among other actions.

Exactly! If Seth gave wiki the information (their source) and that source is dead, release the kraken! His family is basically saying Seth’s info now belongs to them.

Seth Rich was a source, and Assange protects his sources, but said if the family gave permission his would reveal it.

I don’t see any exposure to Seth’s estate, so legally I don’t see what involvement he has in this any longer.
His family has no say in it. They didn’t participate in it.
It’s basically up to Wikileaks if it wants to come clean or not.
I wish they would. It would make it pretty clear that was a big motive if Seth was the source, and Wikileaks should be loyal to Seth, providing any information that might help break the case.

But, if a confisential source is murdered, would he want those responsible to escape responsibility because of that confidence? I’d say, it depends on the circumstances.

As to the specific article for the thread, it sounds like the brother is suing someone that was helping the family? It seems like one of those vicious circles in which only lawyers will win.

Yes, the family wanted to find out why Seth was murdered, until the democrats hired their attorneys to take care of them. My guess is they threatened them and paid them off.

The brother’s name is on the lawsuit because he is the only one with standing in court to sue.
I doubt he is calling the shots.
I doubt he is paying the legal fees.
He is just doing what he has been told to do. He is just following orders.
this family is a left leaning Washington DC family. I think if an investigation is done properly we might find out that one or more family members were involved in Seth Riches death...this is a unsubstantiated guess but it would explain the family going from wanting to find out what happen to circling the wagons with a lawyer provided by the DNC.
It is Wikileaks they are talking about. Since when does that organization require a judge’s permission for releasing information? Has it become a government agency?

The fact that nothing was taken from Seth when he was murdered is a big message to anyone else who even thinks of talking or leaking.
