I wish the article said what medical association is cancelling future conventions in San Francisco. This isn’t people from Chicago. If they’re going out of state for a convention, it’s a national association. San Francisco could be losing thousands of visitors over this.
And I always liked that Journey song, “Lights”, you know, “when the lights go down in the city”, “city by the bay”, but now I imagine that bay being full of great white sharks. So if someone decides to kill themselves by jumping off the bridge, they may get more than they even bargained for, lol.

All these sources I’ve seen do NOT identify which medical association has canceled.
The AMA does have its headquarters in Chicago. But so do a number of other medical associations, typically focusing on specialty practices.
Just to keep the story straight (haha), I haven’t seen a source confirming the medical association which canceled was the AMA.
I don’t find it appropriate to bash an organization without confirming it’s the organization in the first place.
