And for the still butthurt and de3lusional Cruzites, here, they need to stop drinking the Cruz-Aid and wake up!
I think Lee would be a solid pick. Only problem I see is he stabbed Trump in the back rather than declaring he supports Trump after Trump won the nomination.
I guess we can say elections have consequences.
Go tsk, tsk someplace else...Ted has NOT stopped being a jerk, a blowhard, nor a self-aggrandizing LIAR!
SPOT ON, as all of your posts to this thread have been.
Nice rant!
Why can't you guys get that through your thick skulls?
Proving he's not too bright and that alone should eliminate him from the SC.
Nor is he a NBC.
See post #11.
Keep Lee in the Senate, we need his vote.
“”Too Mormon for starters.” May as well add Catholics to the list too “
Yeah, as one who was raised a Mormon, you don’t want them as judges, and at the moment the SCOTUS has FIVE CATHOLICS AND ONE EPISCOPALIAN, so nix the Catholics too.
I think, with so much on the line, that Donald Trump should just vote his conscience. ;-)
I agree with Ted that Lee would be a GREAT choice. So would he. But right now, we need them both in the Senate.
I could look beyond that if they were the only good choices available. but theyre not.
Who would take his place in the Senate?
Could that person win reelection?
Mike Kennedy, who just ran in the primary against Mittens? he’s not Lee, but he’d be a solid conservative vote.
But they’d probably decide to play politics and appoint Mia Love.
Kiss of death recommendation. Lee will now, if he was to ever be seriously considered, not be. Besides he is a Never Trumper, voted against Trump, has ethics issues, and should be lucky to have a continued seat in Congress. Thanks Lyn Ted.
He voted for McMillan
The Federalist Society has been doing Trump's jurist research. How Trump behaves towards Cruz is no proof whatsoever of how Trump regards him at the bottom line. Great executives set aside their feelings about a person to use the skills of the people in front of them to get the jobs they has in front of them done. Executives are taught how to do this in expensive seminars; Trump probably learned it at Wharton or from experience. Even Thomas Jefferson wrote about this technique.
Because Trump is relating to Cruz collegially does not mean all is well; it just means Cruz can suck up for a little longer while. But it doesn't mean they have reconstruced unqualified respect or trust.
