Despite what many of us want to believe, President Donald Trump is the front-runner in 2020. If you supported him in 2016, you have little reason to regret your choice -- he's working hard to fulfill all his campaign promises. Sure, the polls often show that Trump's approval rating is underwater. But voters are a lot more than just data points graphed onto projections.
No incumbent president in recent history has presided over a strong economy, not been enmeshed in a ground war and lost the next election. So, for those of us who desperately want to see a new president, just telling ourselves that a majority of the voters in key states will see what we see and feel how we feel isn't enough to actually win. It's going to take more than the constant tearing of garments and endless howls of outrage to beat him. It's going to take an outside factor -- like Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement.
There's no easily foreseeable reason the Senate won't be able to confirm whomever Trump nominates. In theory, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, could join the 49 Democrats and slow the process, but it may not be realistic to expect every Democrat to stick together, particularly ones up for re-election in red states....

R&W is not as important to me as illegal immigration, open border and travel ban and etc. the country must be secured first
Comic relief they are.
And I’ll admit, I didn’t take him seriously at first. Actually even when he got the nomination I thought it a scam- he’d ‘lose’ followed by some nice juicy multi billion dollar contracts from the Clinton2 administration to a subsidy of his. Glad to be wrong. Very glad.

Believe it or don’t but RVW is not really an important issue at present
There is sound and fury but that is all
R v W can wait. With a sound bench of conservative judges who know the law, POTUS can enforce laws already on the books without the worry of liberals threatening to appeal to the SCOTUS. They wouldnt even waste their time knowing it would be thrown out. The the wall gets built and we start MAGA!
A sign of progress: CNN has gone from unequivocally predicting a Trump loss, as in 2016, to “Trump MAY lose in 2020 IF...”
Roe was the worst decision since Dred Scott ( and at least there was constitutional basis for Scott)
What a bunch of nonsense.
So tired of the white noise.
Trump is going to landslide in 2020, and the more all our nutter the snowflakes and old hippies go the more he will win by.
Just kidding, thanks for having the intestinal fortitude to read it for me!
“R&W is not as important to me as illegal immigration, open border and travel ban and etc. the country must be secured first”
Yes, we do need to concentrate on those. Even if the Supreme Court washed its hands of baby murder, it would continue in New York, Oregon, etc.
An article on Casey v. Planned Parenthood, which is what the Court now goes by:

Except that a Court that says there's no Constitutional "right" to abortion would also know that there's no Constitutional authority over abortion for the House, the Senate or the Oval Office. Freaking moron.
I agree.
Roe is not going to be overturned in his first term... or his second term.
I doubt it will be overturned at all. Maybe watered down.
They aren’t worried. They just pretend to be in order to fire up their base.
Even if it were overturned, that would only mean that the States can prohibit abortion. But no state is going to prohibit abortion outright. The Dems themselves say that 65% of the voters favor Roe. So why would they elect reps who would prohibit abortion?
The way to get it overturned is for a State to pass a law limiting access to unrestricted abortions and for some stupid liberal judge or court to declare it unconstitutional.
Then the court could rule that Roe was improperly decided, just like they did with Koramatsu when the opportunity arose recently.
If the court gets 5 solid pro life justices, then States will be more or less free to whittle away at abortion and the left will either be stupid enough to challenge it or smart enough to let it be.
I agree. I don't think it will be overturned either. It would be like touching the third rail. I do think that the Dems and Libs are frothing at the mouth over that one issue during the USSC candidate selection process in order to do what they do about anything 'Trump'...whip up the Left...well...because...Trump.
Spot on!!! More incendiary Fake News!!!
If Roe v Wade is overturned, abortion will be legalized in all 50 states within a year.
Just as we saw in Catholic Ireland, if societys main priority is everybody f***ing their brains out, abortion is a requirement.
