“The EU is going to be buying a LOT of our Soy Beans.”

French cooking must have changed a lot since Julia Child & Jackie Kennedy.

Do they use them to make sausages?

Fish, chips & soybeans - I’ll have to look for it the next time I’m in the UK.

“Euroweenies always surrender.”

Junkers is a hard-liner.

Ask the Russians how easy it was to capture Berlin.

The French surrendered in 1940 to save Paris.

All true. It begs the question... "Then why Is China So Protectionist?"

Ten years ago it could be argued they needed to be, now they should be open.
Political inertia is my guess. I don't think smart Chinese expect the world to let them have their cake and eat it too.

Inertia is a big factor in any state-controlled economy. Nobody ever thinks they’ll have to be competitive.

Trump gets accused of changing direction with every other word.

I’m smirking. And waiting to see where the chips really land after the way the Davos trip and tax cuts worked.

Yep, the stronger the control the harder it is to adapt.

Yup. Tariffs are Constitutional.

Supposed to belong to Congress, not the Prez, but the underworld will freeze over before those feckless cretins Do anything.

Right is right no matter who is against it and wrong is wrong no matter who is for it.

I have planned there is only one way this could come out if the intention is to get things back to even. We are not dominating or punishing anyone. We are simply taking back what is ours.

The last half hour of trading was because Trump was strong on trade, not weak on trade.

Remember, peace is easy to achieve. Just surrender and you have peace.
