Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) is trailing Democratic challenger Tony Evers by 13 points in the upcoming Wisconsin gubernatorial race, according to a new poll released Thursday.

Of the registered voters surveyed in the NBC News/Marist poll, 41 percent backed Walker in the race, compared to the 54 percent who supported Evers.

When asked if Walker deserves to be reelected, 34 percent of the voters agreed with the statement. Sixty-one percent said a new person should be given a chance, and 5 percent were unsure.

1st - I wonder about this poll. 2nd - if true, wonderful. It frees him up to go to the White House.

I don’t disagree, and when they poll me I hang up because I know their chicanery.
I also don’t wish to be tagged and tracked.
The GREAT Silent Majority!

Stick that in your poll and smoke it!

The actual difference between the number of Republicans to democRATS is 24 percentage points.

There are 906 registered voters.

There are 355 voters in the potential Republican primary electorate.

There are 466 voters in the potential Democratic primary
electorate

the percent change between 466 and 355 is 24%

This is not “statistically insignificant” or “within the margin of error”.

This is deliberate gaslighting.

Let me guess, Evers is running as a pro-Trump conservative Democrat promising to defend your constitutional rights, and a large number of gullible voters believe him. Correct?

"Of the registered voters surveyed"

=buzzer sounds=

Sorry, kids, but that sort of poll can be dismissed out of hand. Only LIKELY voters and balanced properly for party is an accurate poll.

Taking on public employee unions is fraught with political risk. If Walker goes down to defeat, I expect his implementation of the requirement that these unions be recertified annually will have been a key factor. I’m also inclined to believe that his complete lack of charisma is a factor, just as it contributed to his early exit from the 2016 primaries. If he loses, it will become clear that GOP hopes for the conversion of WI to a red state, much like its southern strongholds, are way premature.

Then the voters in Wisconsin are idiots.
Taxes are down, the state is solvent, and unemployment is at record lows.

Unfortunately, since elections are decided by counting ballots rather than tallying square miles ...

Actually, the range was between up by 5 and down by 14.
