Does Johnson still have any significant following in NM?
I remember hearing about this guy. Stay very clear of voting for him. Not a good guy if I remember right.
What is Aleppo.
He was an amazing governor. Make no mistake about that.
Shut down a democrat corruption industry when he was there. Built the best road in the state from Roswell up to I-40 and Albuquerque up to the four corners.
Both roads were deathtrap rural single lanes before that routinely had wrecks killing 5, 6, 8 at a time.
He snookered the democrats by using some innovative and legal type funding that kept the Democrat bribe culture outta the game.
They despised him for that.
Today he has gone off the deep end, gun banner, and also nasty. But he used to be a very good guy.
One of the reasons I didn’t vote for Johnson is he claimed to be a libertarian, while supporting a carbon tax. I mean, really? That’s a libertarian position?
NM Ping list.
The creepy tongue gag not a big hit with the females...
The Libertarian Party is a collection of freaks and unicorn-chasers. It is easily the worst-representation of a logical, widespread political philosophy I have ever seen.
And I say that as someone with very strong Libertarian beliefs.
He had a terrible accident and was addicted to pain meds before he weaned himself off by smoking pot.
He’s just what the Senate needs...
Still smoking
As Governor, he slashed the size of state government during his term and left the state with a large budget surplus.
He used the veto more times than all other New Mexico Governors - combined. He vetoed every tax hike during his tenure.
He is very strong on the 2nd Amendment (except for rocket launchers), wants to repeal Obamacare, and promotes a balanced budget Amendment for the Constitution, and would remove marijuana from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. A social and foreign policy Libertarian, and fiscal Conservative.
He completed 3 Ironman competitions in Hawaii.
He lives in a house that he built himself.
He has summited Mt. Everest, and the tallest mountain on all the other continents.
In 2005, a month after announcing that he and his wife were divorcing, he fell 50 feet in a paragliding accident. He suffered multiple bone fractures, including a burst fracture to his twelfth thoracic vertebra, a broken rib, and a broken knee; this accident left him 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) shorter.
He used medicinal marijuana for pain control from 2005 to 2008. From July 2014 till January 2016, he was CEO of the marijuana company Cannabis Sativa.
