Philadelphia needs another ‘cleansing’.
This time start at City Hall and work its way out.
Remember the GoodE Old Days when one of those rowhouses went up like a tinderbox and made Mrs O’Learys cow (Chicago) look like a minor event.
As it was, the most fortunate part of the fiasco was RIZZO had just been defeated by GoodE..had he still been mayor, am sure the rest of Philly would have made the Watts riots look like a day in the park.

I lived in Philly, in the area just north of the Art Museum (Fairmount/Girard Ave) back in the 1970's. And even then North Broad St was not the right place to be if you weren't from that neighborhood.
Heck, even Girard Ave was the wrong place to be much of the time...
Nothing surprises me about Philly.
When you read, “police are looking to identify...,” you know absolutely nothing will happen.

IT IS AUGUST !! Blacks always riot in August!! I actually mark it on my calendar. They are always wrong. The press always glorifies them. Put it on your calendar!!
The news report blurred images of the “teens.” Nothing helps the public identify the vandals quicker than blurring the identifying footage. Not only did the “teens” vandalize and terrorize the Wendy’s, they attacked the police and smashed up a cop car.

The MOVE incident, including the fire, happened in May of 1985. At that time, Wilson Goode was mayor, but his predecessor was Bill Green, whom Goode defeated in 1983.
Frank Rizzo's last day as Mayor was January 7th, 1980.

Did Rizzo go from Police Supt to Mayor?... I ‘forgot’ the ‘gap’ from 80-83 and hadn’t Rizzo vowed to ‘clean up’ the MOVE movement earlier?
