They’re living to the terms of the program, which is insidiously crafted to sap courage.

Meanwhile those of us paying extremely high Obamacare tax premiums are struggling to make ends meet.

You mean that if you give people food, a home, and medical care, they won’t work too - at least not on the books? I’m shocked!

Seems like when you walk in the door to apply for the Medicare deal....there’s a side-door into the unemployment office and you are given a data sheet to fill out and show you applied to a minimum of four jobs every month (even part-time). To make it interesting....you’d go and require the guy to either work, or to be in some county/district office area for 8 hours each day, and occupying their space unless you have a health condition.

Are they sure on this? My guess is that a lot of the medicaid recipients are working, mostly under the table, and just aren’t informing the medicaid administrators.

If man is truly homo economicus, why would he work if his basic needs can be satisfied by not working?

What percentages of the enrollees are dual eligible geezers? We can’t expect those folks to go back to work. And in my Upstate NYS neck of the woods, a large percentage of our Medicaid caseload is dual eligible seniors.

Someone who lives nearby and is on Medicaid hasn't worked in decades, but is well enough to run their lawnmower over ten acres in a day or two. Talking to Medicaid officials to keep up the Medicaid by phone just doesn't cut it.

Why work when you can sit around on your fat, worthless a** all day watching tv, eating snacks, drinking cheap alcohol, toking and scratching your self? Work is for chumps. Get with the program ! !!
