Btw, a white, “Thief of Police” in LA?

He’s got to be in the leftist pockets.

It won’t end soon. Per the Census Dept, as of 2016 total full-time public sector employees numbered 23.5 million. God knows how many public sector retirees there are. I haven’t been able to find that number. But the vast majority of those folks will never vote to ease the burden on taxpayers. I know a number of public sector employees. They know what’s happening to taxpayers. To a person, they don’t give a damn. When those pension funds go belly up, and they will, I won’t be crying a river for the public sector employees who think the taxpaying public is there to serve them.

Their only concern is to keep those bloated incomes, retirement pensions and benefits coming.

Try going to work, tell them you're retiring, they pay you a $1,227,000 retirement check, then they turn around and rehire you back within days, same pay or more, and ya get a PROMOTION!

wow...

Will he get another retirement in 5 years? What greedy sleaze these so-called “public servants” in government are!

And then imagine that going on all over every state in the union.

This is why we have never bought a nicer home. We know folks paying property taxes in the high four to mid five figures per year. We refuse to do it.

I don’t blame you. Btw, very few people “buy up” in CA for good reason. They’d get killed on prop 13 if they sell and attempt to buy up into a nicer property. This would cause their property taxes to double or triple. This is the exact reason why so many properties in S.CA are sold to foreign national with big $$. It’s tough s**t for those who’ve lived there all their lives, or their off spring, so most head out of state, just so they can afford a home.

I never thought I’d see anything like this.

It’s a great job if you can get it.

I’m guessing that what he did was all totally legit.

If you don’t like the rules, change them. BUT, in the meantime, we must play by them, or at least not complain when someone else does.

What a Surprise! NOT!! Kalifornia Governor Brown is already receiving multiple pensions. He was Oakland Mayor, Kalifornia Attorney General, probably other positions too. Because of Hollywood and Silicon Valley Kalifornia will not implode as soon as it would, but eventually there will be so many retirees and welfare recipients that the system will break.

Bull sh*t. Let me give you an example of going up against the unionized rich and powerful leftist in CA.

Maybe you can't see the big picture or don't know about it. The state intentionally flooded the state with those who vote for the leftist, after the majority of Californians attempted to stop the insanity with prop 187 way back in the '94. Look it up.

After protests, screaming, demanding, petitioning and voting for relief from this epic government sponsored invasion of the state, they won the election big, which would have stopped all tax paid government services for illegals...Then the state and their fed co-conspirators burn their ballots and declare California's victorious free election to be illegal.

Due to this intrusive government corruption, the people of CA were literally told to F-off!

Just a few years later, the conservatives in the state who once voted in Reagan for governor, became vastly outnumbered by the leftist and millions of illegals.

Now, what was that Pollyanna comment about changing the rules in CA?

Not complain? Tell that to the folks in my neck of the woods losing their homes to back taxes.

20 years to get retirement, ah no, not in CA. PERS gives you a retirement at 5 years.

My hubby did, decades ago. He’s the reason we bought an inexpensive home. He was prescient. To this day, it’s the one argument I’m grateful to have lost.

Typical government “worker”. Overpaid, under-worked, exorbitant retirement, doing little of value.

Well, I feel for public safety employees. But the fact it, no matter how brave, how skilled, how hardworking, public employees have become unaffordable.

.
The big killer is not the cost of the realestate, its the tax bill when non-owners vote themselves bread and circus at the expense of the responsible owners.

I “feel for” them also. However, that is no excuse to rape the taxpayers at any chance to do so.
