oops, I was thinking of the LA Sheriff
Collect $1.27 million and then get rehired?
What a system! Democrats are brilliant!
Where is Occasional Cortex? They can just give $1.27 million to everyone! (can I get mine quickly before the money becomes as useful as toilet paper?)

Yep. He was a regular as Friday’s boss.
FWIW, I’d be willing to pay new hires a higher salary and leave them to be responsible for their own pensions.
Not really. I’m not familiar with other states but the TERI program in SC allowed educators to retire, stay in their current job, collect retirement AND a paycheck for the next five years. Nobody gets rich doing that (it IS SC), but it’s a good bumper crop. The program has ended now though. In SC this was used to encourage SC educators to stay and teach after they might normally have retired and gone to another state and taught, building a second retirement. Other states probably have similar arrangements. No...it’s Not a $1.27 million dollar deal.
In NC, educators can retire and come back as a contractor and get paid up to half their previous wage. Going over half cuts into their NC retirement check.
In most counties/cities of California, principals retire, and come back as substitute principals.
They get full pay as substitutes and a great retirement.
They don’t work in the summer and still get some consulting pay.
I see the reasoning behind it. I’m surprised SC ended their TERI program...the state is very short on teachers.
After protests, screaming, demanding, petitioning and voting for relief from this epic government sponsored invasion of the state, they won the election big, which would have stopped all tax paid government services for illegals...Then the state and their fed co-conspirators burn their ballots and declare California’s victorious free election to be illegal.
Due to this intrusive government corruption, the people of CA were literally told to F-off!
I remember that. I thought it was insane. Wasn’t there a deal where a leftist judge ruled it unconstitutional, then the state refused to appeal?
I thought there were one or two other examples of a consitutional referendum in California being killed this way.
...and don’t forget, he was Governor Moonbeam.
If Kali rules allowed this, can’t blame him for taking advantage. Need to change the rules.
Chester.
