Former “Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault Newman revealed another taped White House conversation in which President Trump appeared to express surprise that she had been fired from his administration.
“Omarosa? Omarosa what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?” Trump says on the tape played on NBC’s “Today” show Monday.
“General Kelly – General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave,” Newman said on the tape, referring to White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a retired Marine general.
“No … I, I, Nobody even told me about it,” the president responds.
“Wow,” she replies on the recording, which she says she taped after she was fired in December 2017

She was on Federal property. Their rules may be different and DC rules wouldn’t apply.
In some states ( California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington State), you need the consent of all parties involved. In DC, you can record any conversation to which you are a party, without needing permission of the other parties

Personal recording device in the top SCIF of the country? You gotta' be kidding me. I am sure FBI will be on her ass within 48 hours. Mistake. Big time. She wants her moment of fame, she is going to get it along with a lot of other carpet munching time in the slammer.

I’d bet a year’s wages she’s in possession of many more illegal recordings.
In the audio of the firing, she seems legitimately surprised that she’s being fired. If she was suspicious she was about to get fired and decided to record the conversation, that’s one thing (though still very illegal in a SCIF). But for her to be surprised by it tells me this was not her first time recording someone in the White House.
The tape of Trump only strengthens that suspicion.
Some are saying she may have worn a wire because the recordings are too clear.

General Kelly’s taped remarks were like a Father giving advice to a wayward teen, he was attempting to direct her in a sensible direction.
heard it quickly, but agree. Nothing more than straight talk to someone who is being released.
She doesn’t have the courage to tape , the why of her being released, and play that.

Well stated, but unlike Comey who is one of the protected, she won’t last beyond the bargain basement sales of her book.
She is doing this to pump up the publicity for book sales.....
That was kinda my take too. Not sure why anyone cares about this other than it’s trying to be gossipy.
