FULL TITLE: Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty, admits to making illegal payments at direction of candidate to influence election

Michael Cohen, the former personal lawyer and fixer for President Donald Trump, has struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors, NBC News reported on Tuesday.

Cohen came under investigation by federal prosecutors in New York City earlier this year. They had received a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Prosecutors had been eyeing Cohen's business dealings. The New York Times reported that federal authorities were looking into $20 million in loans for taxi businesses linked to Cohen.

It will be enough to start congressional hearings which will lead to impeachment. It’s all they wanted, just one little thread.

“Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress”

US Constitution, Article II, Section I

NY state law alone controls with respect to Mr. Cohen.

“Office Statewide Family Limit

“Total number of registered voters in the state, excluding voters in inactive status, multiplied by $0.025.”

http://www.elections.ny.gov/CFContributionLimits.html

~10 million NYS Presidential voters alone

http://www.elections.ny.gov/NYSBOE/elections/2016/General/2016President.pdf

At about 10 million voters, that’s $250,000.

$130,000 just isn’t sufficient to cause Mr. Cohen (or Mr. Trump) to have to worry.

I think it’s both women. Any that got payments.

And I’m not certain about whether the source of the funds matter.

So, facing decades or more of time in the slammer, Cohen signed a piece of paper drawn up for him by the people hunting Trump, which piece of paper claims that Cohen paid off a sleazebag pornstar for Trump to influence the election.

I’d put just as much credibility in a “confession” extracted from someone who was tortured. What we have here is compulsion, and what you get from compelling someone else is what you WANT, not the truth.

They did impeach Clinton. He was not found guilty by the Senate.

Yes, this IS a bad turn. Mueller is not going to be shy now about getting Trump in for questioning. Appears Trump’s only option is to wait for Mueller to Grand Jury him.

The other fear is the weasels we call Senate Republicans, will likely abandon the ship like rats if that happens. So we can’t count on them NOT impeaching Trump.

If there was a violation of FEC regs, there will be a fine. This is another nothingburger.

“Not. Even. Worried.”

With the stroke of a pen, Trump can declassify all the truth that the FBI and the Justice Department has been hiding.

Also once the truth is revealed he will have free license to fire many that are corrupt and there are many!

This is no longer just about the Swamp trying to take Trump out. They have not and in all probability can not. This is now a death struggle between the Swamp and Trump. One or the other is going down hard. We are talking about deep state people in jail or impeachment of Trump. It is that simple.

MAGA+ = Make America Even Greater

Mid September to Mid October will be fun!

all a sitting president has to do is decline (or even, if he chooses .. tho its not best form) ignore outright...any subpenas

but it is DJT”s fault for letting the Mueller farce continue and continue and continue ... everyone including PDJT can see, and has been able to see for a long time already, what a damned farce it is

wake Sessions up and tell him to either fire Rosenstein/Mueller/and company (all of them) now, or else.....suffer the consequences

people keep saying, well... DJT hasn’t done anything wrong so he has nothing to be afraid of

So sorry to have to be so blunt, but HOW NAIVE can anyone be!??????????? There are false charges brought against American citizens every day the courthouse docket is open

there are malicious prosecutions every damned day, too

yes, the majority of court officers are honest.
but some are not.
this has been known for at least 3000 years, all over the globe

and a falsified impeachment would be far far easier for the evil-doers to set up and rig, since the defendant there doesn’t even have the minimal protections of a criminal proceeding (impeachment being a purely political circus)
wake up, America......and yes, wake up President Trump!

Well simply that by electors not knowing about Daniels might have turned them away at the ballot had they known.

wake Sessions up

He’s awake. He’s a never-Trumper who wormed his way into Trump’s good graces and then bit him like the snake in the grass he is when the time was right.

“This could be a problem for Trump, right?”

Probably not.

Cohen probably submitted an invoice to Trump’s personal bill payers.

One of Trump’s personal bill payers paid Cohen’s invoice, probably after the election.

“And this has what to do with “Russian collusion”? ,,,,,,,NOTHING....ZIP....NADDA.”

Let’s please not forget that there is no such crime as “collusion” in the United States Code. The very word doesn’t even appear there.

This entire investigation is a violation of the law, as the special counsel statute requires that he/she be appointed to investigate a “CRIME.” No crime was stated in the authorizing paperwork, hence the entire thing is VOID AB INITIO.

This has clearly gone beyond the scope and intent of what the special counsel was supposed to be and don’t give me any of that BS that was passed off to the southern district

This whole thing is a scam

.

I’m sick of this. I’ll look forward to voting against the Democrats in November, regardless of who the Republicans are.

LMAO.

Mueller surrendered any possibility he had of getting Trump to cooperate with his investigation when Cohen's office was raided. Mueller knew he was never going to be meeting with Trump even before that. Trump's legal team told him this back in December 2017.

But Mueller can force Trump now before a Grand Jury, is that correct?
