Jim Carroll is the head of the ONDCP, a position also known as the "drug czar." Carroll isn't a close confidante of the president. He wasn't even Trump's first pick for the position.

What will rid us of these deep state swamp creatures?

Bigly? Really?

Yes. "Big League" turned into "Bigly" in the national dialogue.

Blame Scott Adams.

If pot is your big issue you’re too doped up to pay attention to the real world

Does that apply to Jeff Sessions, too?

I disagree.

No one who smokes pot or consumes pot deserves to be in legal jeopardy for doing so.

Furthermore, it does benefit some people medically, but to be perfectly honest, I do not care if anyone wants to use it for whatever reason.

Enough.

I think there are people who see a libertarian side to Trump, I certainly do, and that he would lift federal sanctions on marijuana and let the states do what they may.

that would be the smartest move he could make.

Pot legalization was defeated easily in Ohio. Conservative and swing states don't pot legalized.

Primarily libtard states are the ones that have legalized pot. Only one state Trump won has legalized pot -- Alaska:

This isn't about pot.

This is about making Trump look bad and not in control by having offices within his administration and under executive control issue policy directions that are in direct conflict with his stated positions.

Even better that these rogue policy directions are politically unpopular.

So, you're a pothead worried about getting arrested?

Traffic fatalities have soared in states like Washington and Colorado that have legalized pot. It's a stupid idea. No one has a "right" to get high an endanger other people's lives.

Only liberaltarians and libtards favor legalizing pot.

Good. That horse left the barn a long time ago. Like it or not, pot is, and has been for a while, a part of American culture. Pot prohibition is just as stupid as alcohol prohibition. And don’t give me the ‘gateway drug’ crap. So are alcohol and tobacco, not to mention prescription pain pills and tranquilizers. I am tired of living in a police state so we can save a few people from themselves. Let them get stoned.

Trump been outspoke on the dangers of drug use. He didn't run on legalizing pot.

Pot legalization was defeated easily in Ohio. Conservative and swing states don't pot legalized.

This will change every election year. More and more states will legalize marijuana. Some states may experience defeat the first few times it's tried but eventually they'll get there.

There is no significant movement to re-strengthen marijuana laws.

Slowly but surely, drug warriors are losing.

This is such great news. I love and respect Trump more each day a as we make America great again. One important aspect of that is to enforce all laws including immigration and narcotics laws. You dope smoking low life’s need to sober up. What you are doing is illegal as hell and federal law totally permits state law. If you don’t think so , you are a fool. I promise this weed trip is about to end.

Marijuana use causes brain damage, psychosis and szhizophrenia. Not to mention being carcinogenic just like tobacco.

“This will change every election year. More and more states will legalize marijuana. Some states may experience defeat the first few times it’s tried but eventually they’ll get there.”

It’s obvious anywhere it was legalized that it is less of an issue than drinking beer.

You’ll always have a few idiots that can’t handle themselves after 1 light beer and get violent. You’ll have some idiots that have no qualm about driving when they barely stand.

Idiots cannot be used as a basis to ban inanimate objects for all law-abiding people. Just as with firearms- it’s not the object, it’s how it is used. If you prove you are a criminal and misuse the object, only then should the state be able to take that right away (after due process).

Thanks for the ping.

Reads to me like a swamp thing is doing all he can to keep feeding the prohibitionists $$$.

I trust President Trump in this matter to get it right over time.
