Vice President Mike Pence in an interview broadcast Sunday said that accounts in veteran journalist Bob Woodwards new book that Trump insults his Cabinet members are very foreign to me, adding that the president can be tough and demanding and wants things yesterday.
I would tell you I know this president has great respect for the men and women who serve in this Cabinet, Pence said on CBSs Face the Nation.
And these accounts are very foreign to me. And I'm just not aware of instances where they've occurred and or where they would occur, he added.
Pence said he would stipulate that working in the White House is not for everybody.
I mean this president is tough. He's demanding. He wants things yesterday. And I think it's one of the reasons why we've accomplished so much in such a short period of time. I mean the truth is I think President Donald Trump is the most accomplished president of my lifetime and I think already one of the most successful presidents in American history, he said.
According to Woodwards "Fear: Trump in the White House," Trump insulted Cabinet members and high-ranking national security officials including Attorney General Jeff Sessions, whom Trump reportedly called mentally retarded. Woodward's book and an anonymous New York Times op-ed purportedly written be a senior administration official working to thwart parts of the president's agenda roiled the White House last week.
Pence also said on CBS that everything is wrong with the narrative in Woodwards book that people around the president are trying to protect the country from him.
It shows a complete misunderstanding of how this White House works, and what President Trump provides for this country every day is strong and decisive leadership in the Oval Office, Pence said.
The narrative that I've picked up, in not only this book but the opinion editorials, suggests that things are happening in spite of the president's leadership, and nothing could be further from the truth, he added.
No, I believe Woodward.
He got the information from William Casey, while Casey was in a coma.
We need more sunglasses. Hand them out at the airport.
So do we.
Drain the Swamp!
Build The Wall!
Trump is also the hardest working President we've ever had... bet he puts in more hours than anyone else working in the White House.
From the Roof,,,!
Agreed ,
But the Mindset of these Traitorous Weasels has been in place since
JFK was murdered.
The Swamp is wide and Deep.
The lies he told in All the Presidents men. His lies about Bill Casey
Read the book Silent Coup. You will learn a lot about Bob
Some of the best bosses I have worked for and mentored under have been tough...it’s good to have this...you learn how to do your job the right way...
Pence was the only real thing left out there for Our President to pick from, and that isn’t saying much...I don’t like Pence nor do I trust him...
Did he help on the New York Times Article, I believe so...
Coming from Indiana — I liked Pence as governor, and knowing where he came from, I’d be mighty surprised if he did anything that bass-ackward to the president, as writing that thing in the NYT. That’s what some reporters used to call a “fanny piece” because the writer would sit at their desk and pull nonsense like that out their ***
So why no wall?? Midterm BS.
My concern is that the congress isn’t going to be in session very much between now and the end of the year. Not that much actual work time left.
In other words, he thinks and acts like a successful businessman rather than like a government bureaucrat.
