Oh, yes. But that part need not be told in any brief study of her. Not because of any censorship reason, but because it’s not relevant to why she should be studied in the first place.

In a way, it’s like a great inventor who later in life became a alcoholic. The alcoholic part is probably not relevant.

No, her story should be told warts 'n' all, as is done with all historical figures on the right.

But then again, if she had been an outspoken supporter of Robert A. Taft, Joe McCarthy or Barry Goldwater instead of being a Marxist-Leninist, Helen Keller would today be unknown.

I excelled in Civics throughout my schooling. I attended 3 different high schools and had civics taught in every grade.

We learned about court, mostly. Mock trials and the like. What I learned in Civics makes me foam at the mouth at how things are handled today.

Government probably doesn’t want to teach civics because then everyone will know how terrible they are.

They are afraid including her in the curriculum might cause real discussion and diversity of ideas to be discussed, learned, known and become the majority understanding of the populace.
