The problem is that most of these guys are lawyers. When you ask a court for an extension of time to file something for good cause and don't hear, then it is presumably granted, especially if its just a couple of days and no harm is done. But the problem is that you then need to get it in whatever you were supposed to submit.

Since the vote is Monday, they have Sat and Sun to “consider” it anyway since the vote is Monday...it’s not like a last minute Monday morning agreement to testify after all will be any different from agreeing to testify now- it won’t get rejected. Maybe they’ll have found her a costume to wear and she will have learned to cry convincingly while giving a carefully crafted speech about being bullied.

Justices are sworn in mid term quite often. The court can reset and rehear for reargument cases that were tied prior to a new justice taking office.
Just think of all the times that “survivor” ChooChoo Blasey had to administer mouth-to-crotch resuscitation to some poor young lad...

We don’t know it for sure, it hasn’t been confirmed. But if she does her testimony should be refused. I think they are hoping Grassley won’t give them more time. I think he will just so they can’t pull a stunt like that
