Is it just me or did you notice a huge disconnect between Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s older appearance and the baby-like quality of her voice and presentation?
The juxtaposition was hard to miss.
I am not trying to shame her, but she looks exceedingly older for her age than one would expect. Sometimes time isn't kind to us, but the mismatch between her inner world and her outer self is a huge discrepancy.
For a woman who was by her account in a stressful situation in the hearing room, as she said “terrified,” she seemed to be all smiles and enjoying the doting attention of the men and women around her, whether her handlers or others.
Although she spoke with a teeny tiny baby voice, her eyes were blank and staring into space virtually expressionless. Her glasses seemed to be like props. Deliberately oversized as if to somehow emphasize she was in possession of high intellect. Or at least that was the vibe that I got. It didn't sell me.
She seemed highly agitated and irritated. I found her painful to watch and listen to because the way she presented herself was so at odds with the level of maturity I expected from a woman of 51. Everything about her seemed inauthentic. The looks didn't match the voice, didn't match the eyes, didn't match the glasses. Her periodic joyous smiles at all the attention she was receiving seemed inappropriate. And no matter how many times she swigged down that Coke, I couldn't help but thinking she wasn't the "real thing".
Perhaps because she wasn't.

The most important question of all is who convinced (used) her to come forward at this specific time? If you believe it was her call for civic duty you are as delusional as she is. If there were to be an FBI investigation, it should have or should be to find out who generated this transparent fraud.

She was a mess; top to bottom. She made a mountain out of a few grains of sand. She got caught in lies like not being able to fly and saying the “event” with BK contributed to her being a basket case then couldn’t point to any other event that would make her such a freaking mess.
The woman is clinically insane. She is a prop being used because she is able to sound like a little girl with a crackly voice and make little girl faces and look confused all the time.

I saw her eyes shift back and forth. I wonder if she is heavy on medications to keep her nerves and emotions to calm her down. The lawyer looked like he was channeling through her, she couldn’t say anything, he kept covering the microphone.
I suspect that her lack of knowledge regarding to offer to go to her reflects that she was hidden away and that those lawyers carefully controlled her and what information she received.
Oh my gosh I kept telling my husband how dirty her glasses were. I have been wearing glasses forever and I found it odd.
The glasses were probably readers or fake and I noticed she was reading her notes with her hair covering her glasses who does that?
Or since papa is CIA it could be a mind altering program.
Graham should have said it’s no wonder she didn’t know about their offer if it were sent to her home address because she was hiding out in the DC area. You know Fineswine and/or her staff must have met with her in the area. Wonder why she never informed the Chairman of the committee, huh?
Nothing about sex with 64 or 54 or 56 guys.
Nor is there anything about that elsewhere in the yearbooks.
And why would she write that she had sex with 54 or 64 guys between high school and college if she was still in high school?
It makes no sense.

The guy who wrote the article about yearbook didn't even get the number right, though it didn't matter because it's a fake story.
Now ask yourself how the anonymous tweeter was in any position to know what she told her friend or how many men she had sex with.
How likely is it that he knew what he was talking about?
And why twitter it to Brian Stelter, rather than to somebody who might actually investigate the rumor?
You can have been wrong about this without your whole world collapsing.

If you have ever (not just you, but anybody) dealt with a person, male or female, that has had life long abuse, life long counseling, you recognize immediately that your dealing with an expert on the subject, they have played the counseling game for so long, that they know the script.
They are experts at evasion. Compound that with the fact that she dedicated her life and career to psychology, and in fact became a teacher and professor in the field, tells the reader important facts about the person who represses this memory for 35+ years.
She is a control freak who thinks nobody knows or can tell her how to fix or deal with her problem, so begins a life long study in healing herself.
Of course, this is doomed to failure, but a compulsive personality will never admit that. They use charm, and wit, victim hood, and deflection like a seasoned pro, to get what they want. Living with a person like this is an untenable situation. You want to help, but nothing you do is good enough, as their value is to remain a victim, to them.
What is gained by dealing with, and resolving a trauma to this kind of person? Nothing.
If that were to happen, it would create a huge hole in their lives that would have to be filled with reality, and actual healing.
An obsessive, compulsive person is also a controlling person. They control the people around them, the narrative, the drama. This is so damaging not just to the person, but to those around them. The result is that they have distant friends. Those who can tolerate being around them for short periods of time, but do not want to be brought into the drama, as most people are not equipped to deal with it on a permanent basis.
Next, add a PHD to the mix, and she becomes an authority on the subject, she knows the patter, she knows the buzz words, she can easily lay low the less educated, and I saw in her testimony hints of disdain, or outright rejection for those who would question her story line.
When confronted with the overwhelming contradicting evidence of those who were supposedly there, she impeached the witnesses, or minimize them, or made convincing reasons why they answered as they did.
What you get to the outsider is a true victim, who deserves your sympathy, with the feeling that something happened to this person, but it seems they have the wrong aggressor. You don’t know why, and feel that somehow your a bad person for feeling that way. It part of their game. And unless you have lived it, you see no defense that would be acceptable to others.
She is a permanent professional victim. I don’t know if she is still married, but I did not see a husband, I have not seen supporting children, and most importantly the friends I have seen talking on YouTube fall right into the category I have described, distant, concerned, but not overly involved.
You cannot win with a person who does not care about winning, her entire support structure, is in large part herself. I would have felt sorry for her plight, except that I know this kind of person, and that would have required me to buy into her drama, been there, done that, and I will never again live thru it again.
I was a cocktail waitress and then bartender in night clubs for over 20 years. I’m not traumatized and, as you said, have experienced much worse than what she described.
A friend of mine watched with her co-workers, mostly guys. Their conclusion.... if she wasn’t already on meds, she definitely needed to be.
