They won’t lose the votes of their base who accept their lying if it means they can pick up non-BS crazy voters.

I think this will backfire on them. The Republicans are already energized. Everyone knows who the Dems are and what they will do if they get back power. On the other hand, there are lots in the Dem base who will stay home if their Senator votes for the hated Kavanaugh.

I’m hoping we can get to the magic 60 number in the Senate.

That would be sweeter than Pie.

Doing that and keeping the House under GOP control would send the Left into convulsions.

You did good. I just didn’t know enough about the source to stick my neck out too far.

I am guessing that we found the information from the same source.

Basic game theory.

A red state Democrat voting “no” and repubs flip... It’s the republican turncoat that cost the nomination and they’ll get a small bit of heat. A red state Democrat voting yes and the Republicans have the votes without them, loses and gains nothing.

So if it’s a sure thing, it’s in their interest to vote Yes and save their butts. They were all waiting for Collins, Mukulski, and Flake to set the board.

Yep. Four are in tough battles, and one (Heitkamp from ND) is considered by many folks to be done for.

I am from ND, and Trump won it by a ton. Even if she changes her vote, she might still be done for. Let's hope so.

Looks like the same tweet, yes.

This person has other tweets saying that the polls are close in MI and WI as well...

By my count, that is 5 who appear to be in serious enough trouble they will throw a Hail Mary and their goal is run the ball 99 yards before the clock ends them.

This could be a most excellent year indeed...

Bill Nelson could show up at my house with a bag full of money and a hooker under each arm and I still wouldn’t vote for him.

It’s so they can say “They are the bipartisan party.” They will say the Republicans are blindly lock stock in line.

The Senate looks to have more breathing room, but it looks like the real battle will be whether the Red team can hold the House...

Mitch probably knew this news, when he was on Ingraham’s show, tonight. He had a non-stop grin.

LOL, I'll bet you're right, Jane! I saw Laura's show tonight. The 'Turtle' was triumphant!

...and he has a poll that says that Feinstein is now TIED with her opponent. Not a pickup, but still some kind of... ahem... justice.

"Democrats are highly partisan and willing to sacrifice their careers to advance the liberal cause (witness Obamacare). Sacrifice their careers on a protest vote? Not as much."

Obama promised those who followed his request, certain benefits, viz. Lobbyists (make $5MM/yr) etc. They still had what they wanted MONEY. JMO
