The nomination fight over Judge Brett Kavanaugh has injected new volatility into the midterm elections, reshaping races across the country and sharpening the already bitterly partisan tone for the final four-week stretch before Nov. 6. But in the House, the Cook Political Report and other predictors have moved more than half a dozen seats in the Democratic direction in recent days, and Republican operatives are bracing themselves for an onslaught of Democratic money that they are calling "a green wave." Gubernatorial races - in which Democrats are trying to regain territory that they've lost in recent years, particularly in the Midwest - are also trending left. "There's nothing quite like a good old-fashioned Supreme Court fight to polarize the electorate - and that's what we've observed in the past few weeks," said David Wasserman, House editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. "The Kavanaugh issue has almost acted as a centrifuge to separate red and blue elements of the electorate even more."

“Without the House you can kiss the Wall goodbye forever.”
There are enough Republicans blocking the wall with or without the Dems controlling the House.
“Just remember the first order of the Democrat House will be the Impeachment of DJT followed by the Impeachment of SCOTUS BK.”
They’ll just look like silly fools, as they will not have a prayer of getting the 67 Senate votes needed to remove either of them.
In fact, that stunt may simply finish them off FOREVER as a political entity.
“Adam Schieff Chairman of House Intel Committee
Maxine Waters Chairman Financial Services
Jerry Nadler Chairman House Judiciary”
And they will DEMAND EVERYTHING from the Trump Administration.
Only problem is “Separation of Powers”...life will suck for these Dems as they try to convince the Supreme Court that witch hunts are ok.
Because of scheduled surgery that will make it unlikely that I will be able to vote at my precinct on Nov 6, I am absentee voting this year for the first time in my life.
Also for the first time in my life, I am voting straight Republican Party.
The GREEN wave only helps Trumps economic numbers.
It isn’t going to get more Dems elected.
they will not have a prayer of getting the 67 Senate votes needed to remove either of them.
Maybe a few votes, but nothing close to 67, not even close.
Keep you finger crossed, but the dems, rinoa and never trumpers will stop at nothing as we have just seen. Do not underestimate the Dems
But the Dems surely are stunning the world with their antics and desperation these days...
The squishy RINOs just showed that they will stand down when we are sufficiently motivated... even Flake, with no consequences to face, voted correctly.
Wishful thinking that the house has moved left...
without control of the house the 720 billion defense budget will be tapped. this has already been floated by Trump... as the workaround
and when the dems have judges try to block... he will fast track it to the Supremes.
game over. except....
.
.
we won’t lose the house either... so please stop the buy in to democrats vain imaginations folks.
One does not vote republican for senate thus expand the role in the senate where kavanaugh and team literally murdered the democrat party... and then turn around and vote democrat for the house members down ticket.
Sorry...
but the dems cannot snap out of their wet dream fantasies.
.
.
and we should encourage them not to do so.
we need their full on retard mode broadly on display so that after the election, we can ship them all off to the re-educations camps. You remember those vast camps that the feds supposedly built, the ones that they had planned for us conservatives during the Obama third term?
(:-O)
We shall see. IMO < the Left is in for still another election night closer to suicide.
We’re going to gain in the Senate and hold the House - just barely. People are still afraid to tell strangers they’re backing Republicans - we poll light.
I’ve been looking at numbers all morning.
In the 20 states that HRC won, Trump got 22 million votes. In the 30 states Trump won, HRC got 32 million votes.
The population of all states with 2 GOP senators is 101 million. The population of all states with two RAT senators is 140 million.
There are a lot of commies out there, more than enough to take the House if they’re smart.
Its about distribution not total. Depth without breadth equals losses.
If 4 districts are 75 dem and 25% republican. And 6 districts are 55r and 45 d... ds Have more voters in that set, but only get 3 out of the 9 districts, Republicans get 6.
Dems have DEPTH in very limited geographic areas. rs Have far more breadth.
Dems were on path to get the house until Kavanaugh chaos, now no way
2012 they were a well oiled machine and the R's looked the other way. 2016 they got a bit complacent and arrogant and didn't prepare as well.
I am not sure where we are now.
Any new House polls out there post-Kavanaugh? I just don’t see a feasible path for the Dems to take the House with the Senate races all moving decidedly in the direction of the Republicans post-Kavanaugh.
House Polling has been sparse, so far... that I have seen anyway. Not that I am following every race, but I am with you, I don’t see this playing out the way Dems are claiming it is... I know that’s what they HOPE is going to happen, but I don’t see it.
Most know an allegation does not a guilty person make, they aren’t remotely as crazy as the left’s feminazi’s are... But, they believe if they SCREAM loud enough, folks will cave... And I just don’t see it happening. Collin’s speech is more in line with where women are, at least that I have talked to or overheard, than anything.
The Lefts attempt to try to turn what even if true, at worst was a drunken teenage groping, into a serial predator rapist... women just aren’t buying it. NO matter how much theater they put around it.
D’s taking the house went IMHO from nearly a given before this Kavanaugh hit attempt, to not a chance in hell after.
I honestly think the GOP gaining seats post Kavanaugh is within the realm of possibility.
