Batter up!
Don’t forget Type I Diabetic Sotomayor.
Aren’t we all.
"RBG...no way she'll make it another 4 years...vote Trump!"
Republicans should do a little nosing around to see if suspicious activity occurred last summer, prior to Kavanaugh’s nomination, concerning other short list prospects. At a minimum, old friends, classmates, former employers and coworkers, etc. could be quietly asked if anyone has been prowling around with unusual questions.
I think Thomas may hang it up before Ginsburg expires. Might as well solidify the youth of the good side while we have the opportunity.
3 more Trump appointees would be absolutel bliss.
McConnell can say that the Garland nomination was held up because it happened less than a year before Obama HAD TO leave office. 2020 will not be the same — Trump could serve another term.
Word & rumor is that Thomas is out next summer.
Somewhat off topic (but related) - are conservatives making progress on some of the lower courts as well?
Hope so. Don’t always want to wait for the Supremes to settle an issue.
I wonder if Judge Kavanaugh has a mind to straighten out Kagen and Sotomayer? Tough nut to crack I know, but...
This means you, Ruth. One way . . . . or another . . . .
Prophetic. Trump is been prophesied to pick FIVE Supreme Justices.
God is taking a hand with America and the world, not condemn, but to save in these last days leading up to the most horrific seven years ever seen or imaged.
1. No, he ABSOLUTELY DID NOT set a precedent, it’s called the Biden rule for a reason, Joe Biden set this precedent.
2. Regarding breaking it. Sure go ahead, any chair in a bar fight.
Wow, an off day public statement from Mitch. I better go sit down. The shock made me light-headed.
He is the snapping turtle now. Whether or not he advances a nominee in an election year, this is triggering material for the left. I sure hope more republicans learn to twist the knife, its the fun part of politics.
What happens if one goes onto a coma?
“McConnell argued that a Senate case in 1880 justified blocking a nominee in the specific situation in which the Senate is controlled by the party opposing the president.”
Someone is mistaken. I saw him on Fox News and he said the precedent for delaying under those circumstances goes back to 1880 and has occurred ever since; NOT that is was just one specific incident in 1880 stated by this writer.
Hell, Mitch, there could a vacancy this week. I just hope it's not through assassination.
