Tight House races also trending GOP recently

With the election less than 24 days away, Republicans are seeing momentum in polls after the Kavanaugh hearings and a new path to holding their majority in the House. To do this, they need to stop Democrats from reaching a net pickup of 23 seats, which will likely require raising more last-minute money. Currently, many election watchers believe Democrats will gain anywhere from 20 to 40 seats. However, if their loss of momentum persists, the lower end of that range becomes more likely and Republicans would maintain a slender majority.

Agreed, I think there’s better than even chance of GOP keeping the House. And I expect to pick up 2 or 3 net Senate seats too. There’s no way the Democrats can hope to take back the Senate now.

This reminds me about polls, and who does them, and what they are used for. The liberal side will produce polls which give the desired result.

Yep, we will see if they fail to take the House, what the plan is then.

And this could impact the 2020 presidential candidates too. Almost everyone on the Democrat side is a hard liberal/radical type.

Key question for the Democrats going forward, could be, do they favor their ideological purity, or do they want to win elections.

Some think 2020 could be a rerun of 1972 when the liberal radical types of that era, captured the Democrat parry, and Nixon won a landslide re-election. And a key reason for the Nixon landslide was the revulsion that “middle America” felt about those Democrat radicals.

Agreed. And even with a smaller majority the House will be more pro-Trump.

I looked up the polls in my congressional district, CA-50. One of the polls had Republican Duncan Hunter ahead by 2 points, the poll had a margin of error of 6 points!

Polling seems to be garbage.

Hey brainiac,

Not Mobs with strikethrough, means Yes Mobs.

How is that Public School education working out?

The Democrats’ problem is very simple: They can’t win unless they turn out their base, but the things that motivate their base move independent voters away from them.

If the “blue wave” doesn’t materialize, the Democrats will be even more angry and dangerous.

If it does, they’ll go so overboard that they’ll only hold the House for two years.

I think the deep blue states are likely to get bluer. I think everywhere else is likely to get redder.

I saw some Dem ads against GOP candidates in OC...One against Mimi Walters(Irvine)...The ad accused her of voting too often to support President Trump...

One against Dana Rohrabacher...The ad accused him of being unethical...

It is not cheap to run ads in the LA media market...

I saw one Mimi Walters ad, praising her work for crime victims...

See, this is why you need to read first and understand before commenting and making a fool of yourself. I said the strikethrough should only be over the letter 'O' in Mobs with the donkey in it.

Certainly, early public polls are designed to advance the liberal cause. This year it was also driven by the herd mentality among the media and the Dems, the same thing that they did in 2016. They believed their own propaganda.

The election will be decided by turnout and the pollsters will be guessing about their own turnout models. If we can sustain the energy that we have right now, we will get the typical midterm result and have a bigger turnout than the Dems, even with all their money this year.

their sole argument for change is hate Trump

Which is the unexamined premise that they have been operating with ever since it looked like Trump had an outside shot at the GOP nomination. We woke up on election morning and discovered what a horrible mistake we all made. We all hated Trump and yet somehow we elected him anyway. We thanked the Dims for being around to cook up the Russian collaboration conspiracy to get this lunatic out of office. These things take time, but fortunately we had the midterms to take GOP support away from the orange maniac.

Do these neo-Bolshevik progs ever listen to themselves. They are a raving lunatic violent mob. All of them.

.
GOP will gain in the house.

This has never been in doubt among honest reporters, even before the Kavanaugh insanity.

This is why the globalony thugs are trying to crash the economy.
