Smartwatch documented murder of missing journalist

The Turkish newspaper Sabah has revealed that the journalist Jamal Khasshogi, who was murdered in Istanbul, had entered the Saudi consulate with an Apple iWatch smartwatch that documented his interrogation and murder.

According to the report, Khasshogi first approached the consul's room and was then dragged by two senior intelligence officers to a second room where he was interrogated and tortured until he was murdered.

On the recordings are shouts of Khasshogi and the security men. He was then dragged into a third room at the consulate, where his body was dismembered.

According to the report, the Saudis realized that he had recorded only at a later stage and managed to erase only some of the files. His phone remained with his fiancee, and she transferred the phone to the Turkish security forces, who reportedly managed to recover the files and listen to the recordings.

The Saudi crown prince continues to claim that his country is not involved in the disappearance of Khashoggi, who the prince claims entered the consulate building on Tuesday and left 20 minutes to an hour later.

US President Donald Trump made it clear in an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" program that if Saudi Arabia was indeed responsible for the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, it would be "severely punished." ....

A couple of thoughts. The present Saudi leader is the most Western leaning and the most likely to bring about a change in what is euphemistically called “radical” Islam. Damaging him as a leader may open the way for a new leader who could make the Ayatollah look like a Smurf. Also, it is doubtful he had anything to do with this event. In a way, I feel sorry for the Saudi security agents, who doubtless felt they were doing their job as they saw it. Yes, what they did is horrible, but they exist in a nineth century mentality located in a twentyfirst century world. From their perspective they were doing the ritchous and just deed. The agents who did the deed will be sacrificed to protect those above them. The only saving grace, if there is one, is changes will be quietly made and a repeat of this incident is unlikely.

None of our business

This is. He lived in the US and it happened in Turkey. The mess we're in (entangling alliances and all that) is further complicated because both countries our allies.

I hope it brings up a discussion that both political parties have sold out our nation. Since George I we've been at forever war. That's two decades. Saudi Arabia is a place where we're on the wrong side, and we've known it since 911. Saudi Arabia isn't even a real country. It was an invention of the map makers in the 1920s. Nothing has been done to disentangle us from them.

Saudi Situation.

Saudi Weapons Deal.

Here's some good info on this matter.

We are at war with the derp state, and Saudi has been flipped to our side. This is the age of Trump, and things are different now.

People need to understand that and update themselves on geo-politics, including the shift in the middle east.

This was a good kill.

We are at war, and people are dying.

Don't let the derp media cause a rift between us and our new ally. They want Saudi back, and this is what's going on now.

So, tell me. How did the signal get from the watch to the iPhone? It was certainly out of Bluetooth range.

Sorry. I don’t believe a damn thing in the media anymore. ESPECIALLY a media that is insisting we “do something”.

“If they killed and dismembered him,,,why would the Turks get his watch...that makes no sense at all.”

Supposedly his girlfriend was holding his iphone outside and the files uploaded to the cell phone.

More likely, that is a cover story protecting the true recording method, which the Turks want to keep secret so as not to blow their own cover. But they have recordings.

Why Turkey gives a crap about the murder? That is my question as Turkey is an uncivilized and brutal as any country.

Is someone trying to get POTUS to start a war with SA to distract from all the cabal crimes they’ve been committing?

I have to call BS on this story until they explain how they got the watch off of a dismembered body, presumably, shipped out of the consulate office.

You must be a right wing crazy, trying to use reason and logic in a discussion about something in which no real facts are available.

The left doesn't care about facts, logic, or reason...stop it.

Reread the story. His watch was linked to his iPhone and his fiancée had the phone not the watch.

...

How does it link to the phone, Bluetooth?

President Trump is fully aware of the Saudi involvement in 9/11 and is keeping it very close to the vest.

Have we forgotten the obozo birth certificate investigation with Joe Arpaio ?

There's more to come from this fantastic leader.

If they killed and dismembered him,,,

It takes some heavy duty tools to cut thru bones and stuff to say nothing of the mess it would make............

They may have killed him but I doubt he was dismembered.......

When the BSM media starts howling for action the first action I think of is affirming said media to a lamp post.

Regardless of what the truth/value of this story may be, one does not need more than a sharp knife to dismember/butcher a large game animal. Basic knowledge of anatomy and disjointing is easy. Any hunter who bags, tags and carries his game out of the field knows this.

Do smart watches link directly to the internet or do they use Blue tooth type links to a device nearby (like my hearing aids)? I avoid such stuff as much as possible....

This could mushroom into a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

I'm anything but; I despise globalism and all the destruction it has caused of our and other nation's identities and sovereignty. I'm pointing out that doing nothing isn't really an option here. That would be enabling Saudi Arabia, the devil we should not have been allied with at least since 911.
