He’s still on the ballot, just as another party.. why he didn’t just keep campaigning is beyond me.. he won the district by 80%.. if he campaigned he would wipe the floor with her... not sure why he sat back and did nothing.

Most Democrats probably didn't even know there was a contested primary. Talking about the percentage difference masks the actual closeness of the race.

The reason that Crowley lost was that he got redistricted. His district moved from the eastside of Manhattan and western Queens (Jackson Heights) to the Bronx and northern Queens.

He lost his affluent midtown and upper east side voters.
