Gillum's lead is boosted by support from independent voters in the state, with 56 percent of nonparty affiliates surveyed saying they'll vote for the Tallahassee mayor....
....phone interviews from Oct. 23 to 26 with 1,051 likely voters. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
A RealClearPolitics average of polls shows Gillum with a 3.2 point lead.
The Cook Political Report rates the race as a toss-up, while FiveThirtyEight's governors forecast rates it as likely Democrat and gives Gillum better than an 80 percent chance to win.

Florida is spinning around and around in the toilet bowl.....
Did you check out the poll’s methodology?
I did.
They got what they polled for.
The left wing Hill has ignored the last three polls showing Desantis ahead or Tied .
The Hill is a Dem Trump hate website .
Look for Drudge to blast this push poll again .
Exactly! Don’t look at actual results...Look at our poll!
If the early voting results of who has submitted ballots favored Democrats, would they be talking about polls?
“”Unreal that this guy is even CLOSE, let alone winning this race.””
The only thing that matters are the votes counted on November 6.
The news media is totally committed to advancing the Progressive Democrat agenda so anything written or said by the news media can be ignored.
The pollsters are wrong more times than they are right.
Florida is a swing state. Statewide elections are usually very close. Thus, I am not surprised to see Gillum with a lot of supporters. But, I do not believe the pollsters and media who keep claiming Gillum has a substantial lead.
The pollsters and media are only trying to discourage DeSantis supporters from voting.
College kids practicing how to create a scenario. Dont put much stock in this
....gubernatorial Democrat Andrew Gillum characterized as “racist” questions about some of the illicit perks (bribes?) he enjoyed as mayor.
“Im sure my white predecessors got as much, or more, than I did, lied about it, and got away with it.That I am somehow uniquely culpable is a
rebirth of the slavery the white man has imposed on black folks for centuries. (hat tip FR satirist Semmens)
IOW, Gillum felt “entitled” to bribes due to all the injustices previously suffered. As mayor, he cleaned up. Imagine the take he’s expecting if he makes governor.
<><> Then-Mayor Gillum at the Broadway hit Hamilton in Aug 2016; pricy tickets paid for by undercover agent Miller posing as a developer needing mayoral favors.
<><> Miller also paid for a Forward Florida Honors Mayor Andrew Gillum a dinner for 40 guests of filet mignon,
twice-baked sweet potatoes, salmon mousse canapes, broccoli and carrots, and southern style strawberry shortcake for $2,800.
<><>The mayor’s bar tab was $1,200 for beer, wine and liquor; 20% service charge and sales tax totaled $5,160.
A LOT OF HAND-WASHING GOING ON
The club owner is a lobbyist looking for maoral favors so he gave the Gillum party a discount; that brought the balance Miller paid out to $4,386.
UNF? Wanna bet that they have received a large donation recently?
“DATA: FL Rs up 3% over 2016 when Trump won by 113,000. We look to emerge from early/absentee voting with a tie at worst, a gain at best. Ds won absentee/early by 90,000 votes in 2016.
Thats a 200,000 deficit.”
Oh come on, man!
That’s not a poll, dont you see?! You are using actual data, and to the FR retirees, shut-ins, and stay at homes, that is simply woo in the face of the all-mighty poll.
In a day or so when some other poll gives some other result, they will bipolar in the other direction.
I have a hard time with the spread, but can’t say I am overly surprised that the AA vote will just show up and pull the lever for anyone with melanin.
Not being in FL I have no idea if these polls are accurate, but to say I am shocked that GA and FL governors races are what they are, at least in the polls is not surprising to me at all.
Will see next week how they play out.
I will never understand the mindset of these idiots from the northeast who move south to get away from high tax Democrat s**tholes only to f**k their new states over by voting for the same liberal policies that wrecked the states they left. Its just plain stupid! These people are mentally deranged!
Desantis wins by 5-7 points
UNF? Wanna bet that they have received a large donation recently?
Gillum will be sitting in his desk for 4 years twiddling his thumbs. ............................. Naaaah. he’ll be using a calculator, counting his $$$$$$$$$ from his supporters, and the future donations to help push the agenda. I voted yesterday, the Gillum group were the only ones there with their little table and stickers. They seem to be very lonely and reserved. Then again, we are on the west side, where there are more mid westerners than NYC folks.
Don't believe them....designed to demoralize people like us.
AND dont think those 4 heavily RED counties in the hurricane recovering panhandle have reported ANY vote to the State yet.
This, along with Arizonas apparent preference for that nutjob Sinema (+6 in most recent poll, too), just has me scratching my head.
“The Florida vote has been diluted by New England Liberals for years. “
In addition many Puerto Ricans migrated to Florida after the hurricane. Since they are US citizens they can vote in the Florida election if they registered.
African American turnout will also be high due to the opportunity to elect a black governor. Nelson, in the Senate race, will benefit from a higher than normal mid term minority turnout. No doubt the Democrat ground game will be to bus minorities to the polls in large numbers as they did in 2008 for Obama.
To win in close states the GOP needs to present passionate, energized candidates who aren’t wishy washy and will fight to win. Sadly, the Republican establishment has not yet gotten the message (or chooses to ignore it).
I dont believe this poll. Ergo, Im not concerned about it.
Cant believe Florida is going to elect a socialist.

Alabama and Georgia will welcome their jobs. I am sure a lot of businesses will be leaving Florida over the next few years if Gillum wins.
I’ll do my best to not spend money in Florida if the clown wins.
