Trump said point-blank on TV that the troops are going to be building huge tents to hold people, who will be waiting for amnesty processing.
Now, for legal reasons amnesty could be denied to 100% of them but the point absolutely IS that Trump’s plans do include permitting them —maybe all of them— onto US territory.
So US decision makers ARE planning for that Caravan to physically reach the US border and to cross over. That gives the left an opportunity to orchestrate a violent confrontation with US troops.
If the bullet doesn’t come from our side, the left WILL supply it, then blame our side, and the media will absolutely fall into line.
I am wondering:
Does Trump WANT them to cross, the better to build public outrage and support for The Wall..?
If your parents are not citizens, and have not arrived LEGALLY then how can you become a citizen?
If you travel on an airplane JUST TO arrive here to give birth, then you should also not be a citizen.
NO OTHER COUNTRY does that. That’s all Trump needs to say. And just do it.

“If you were born in the USA, then you can vote in the USA”
I believe if a foreign diplomat has kids born in the USA, they are specifically exempted from this voting benefit —they CANNOT vote and are not Americans.
Birth Citizenship originally had NOTHING to do with people coming here and then having kids, it was about BLACK PEOPLE.

If President Trump is going to try and end birthright citizenship via executive order I hope he takes a sobering few minutes to share a detailed and clear civics lesson, point by point, why this is correct interpretation of the 14th amendment, why he has the authority, and why now. I agree with the long overdue action, but fear a debacle if put out there without explanation, leaving interpretation to the media. And I say try, because if not clear in action, he’ll have this stopped by the court before the ink has dried. Too bad we cannot revoke any received in the past but I suspect that would be a non-starter.

But what about the Chinese “Birthing Centers” in LA and New York? In this case, wealthy Chinese women, who arrive on tourist visas, pay $50-$100K, to live in a private apartment/maternity ward for 6 weeks. They have their baby, and it is immediately granted a US passport. Then the whole family goes back to China. Of course, if there are any complications, the woman is sent to a public hospital, where taxpayers pay for all her expenses.
Is that right? Is that compassionate? is that just?

In my view the line in the 14th “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” means no birthright citizenship for children born of
1)Illegal Aliens
2)Foreign Diplomats
3)Tourists
I don’t think the authors of that amendment stuck that line in there cause they were overly concerned with a tiny number of diplomat’s kids getting citizenship.
All we need is a Supreme Court to agree.
Even if my interpretation is not correct (waiting on legal scholars to weigh in), it should prevail anyway, libs twist the Constitution into pretzels whenever it suits them (see Roe V Wade, Dread Scott V. Sanford and a hundred other ridiculous decisions), it’s the only way we’ll ever be rid of anchor babies. The 14th amendment is not a suicide pact.
