Macron defended organizations like the European Union and the United Nations, hailing their ideals …Their ideals? Anyone know what they are? Here is one clue.

Would you feel there was any significance in the fact that the general secretary for the organization which drew up the charter was Alger Hiss? …So there goes a chain of “ideals” that stretches back to a communist constitution commissioned by none other than Joseph Stalin. And Macron proudly extols them. Wonder how he would react if someone told him to his face that this is what he is doing.

If the Macron quote is accurate, your friend is correct. Macron just declared war against those in France who believe that the nation of France and French nationality is actually a good thing.
