That is a tired reason. I bought it in 2002. Not so much anymore.

We are there to keep the Chinese out. Just like Africa.

They don’t hate us because we are free, they hate us because we are there trying to tell them how to live their lives.

I don’t care about them. If the “attack us” again, level them. They cannot attack us if they are dead.

Why can’t we just burn the poppy fields?

Because then the farmers don't have any way of making money except to go on the Taliban payroll.

Yeah, inflation is something else.

Far fewer than the civilian casualties we'd have seen on U.S. soil without a military solution overseas. And far fewer than we'd have seen, if we'd have gone with high intensity conflict as an initial solution.

Well, it's their choice. Either build a nice, denazified nation, or do bad things and get reduced.

If the voters in our nation had a will fight, it would have been satisfactorily done for our national security a long time ago. Instead, it’s the lawyers, the import moguls and the left against our defense, until the fight for survival comes to us. Then, we start another late buildup and take the consequences.
