Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor says that newly appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh is already like family.
Sotomayor recently sat down with David Axelrod, for an episode of CNNs Axe Files that will air Saturday, and spoke about welcoming in the new justice.
Kavanaugh was confirmed after a highly publicized Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in September. He was accused by Professor Christine Blasey Ford of sexual assault in the 1980s when they were both teenagers. Kavanaugh vehemently denied the accusation and was eventually confirmed with a 50-48 vote in the Senate.
Sotomayor said among Supreme Court justices, typically a lifetime appointment, there is no choice but to create a relationship.

respectfully madam justice FU
So Kavanaugh has already turned? Having to select judges from only a pool of lawyers is like having to pull turds from a outhouse.
The Supreme Courts liberal Justice.
That should nix a Rat bid to impeach Kavanaugh.
Wise comment from the Justice.
They may be a family, and she is the crazy aunt who should be locked in the attic.
Yeah right. You view him like “family” the same way Michael Corleone treated Fredo..
Shes not the worst of the worst. Obviously, a total Dem, but shes occasionally sane and seems not to be a vicious, man-hating maniac. Unlike Pelosi or other female Dems I can think of...
...and she’ll treat Kavanaugh like the red-headed stepchild.
Are you reading the same article the rest of us are?
I think what she said was fine. Would love to see them sing that Sly song “ We are family”. May be on snl?
I hope he thanks her for these kind words by sending her a nice big Whitman’s Sampler
Remember RBG and Scalia were besties
Sodamachine would eat them in one sitting.
Why would he turn?
Did you know Justice Antonin Scalia was good friends with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg? People can be friends and disagree on politics, I see nothing wrong with that.
I’m hoping for that, too
My cousin, who is my godfather, moved to Seattle in 1969.
You won’t find anyone more liberal than he.
You won’t find anyone more conservative than I.
But we are very close.
Out of respect for each other we just never talk politics.
As long as it’s sugar free.
Wait till he proffers some votes that are diametrically opposite to her own and see what she has to say.
That would defeat the purpose
