Migrants approaching the U.S. border... were enveloped with tear gas Sunday after a few tried to breach the fence separating the two countries.... Honduran migrant Ana Zuniga, 23, said she saw migrants open a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point U.S. agents fired tear gas at them....
Mexicos Milenio TV also showed images of several migrants at the border trying to jump over the fence....
U.S. Border Patrol helicopters flew overhead, while U.S. agents held vigil on foot beyond the wire fence....
... several hundred Central American migrants pushed past a blockade of Mexican police who were standing guard... They appeared to easily pass through without using violence,...
They convened the demonstration to try to pressure the U.S to hear their asylum claims and carried hand-painted American and Honduran flags while chanting: We are not criminals! We are international workers!
A second line of Mexican police carrying plastic riot shields stood guard outside a Mexican customs and immigration plaza. That line of police had installed tall steel panels behind them outside the Chaparral crossing .... Migrants were asked by police to turn back toward Mexico....[snip]
Irineo Mujica, who has accompanied the migrants for weeks as part of the aid group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, said the aim of Sundays march toward the U.S. border was to make the migrants plight more visible to the governments of Mexico and the U.S. We cant have all these people here, Mujica told The Associated Press....[snip]
Mexicos Interior Ministry said ... has sent 11,000 Central Americans back to their countries since Oct. 19.... 1,906 of them were members of the recent caravans.
Mexico is on track to send a total of around 100,000 Central Americans back home by the end of this year.

Then they shouldn't mind "workplace violence."
There was a huge BP presence massed at the border, along with fresh & shiny new concertina strung everywhere and patrol helicopters cruising above. The MX fed police were out in force as well on their side.
Closing the border is going to drive the Mexicans insane. So much business is dependent on free flow of US tourists going down, and MX nationals shopping in San Diego.
In fact, we were right next to one of the pedestrian crossings, and it was already backing up. And these were regular Mexican citizens just wanting to cross for the day, so you can imagine how pissed off they are.
As sketchy as the border is, both the US & MX have this weird symbiotic relationship were goods/people actually move back/forth pretty well.
You can image the anger now being directed at the MX gov't for not getting this sh!t under control. It's royally screwing TJ and baja, because now you have all this traffic backed up all over the city as people are freaking out where to stay & hang.
All in all a complete cluster, one which Trump has played masterfully. Just watch the denials of any asylum housing deal in MX be officially acknowledged shortly.
If they’re ‘international workers,’ that means they can go back to Honduras and work or stay and work in Mexico.
Spell check would have been easier, Merci....
closing the border may provide incentive for Mexico to stop this.
don’t use spellcheck when I write informally. The one you’re complaining about was easily understandable. That is why I yelled in my response. I don’t like auto spell either and i don[t want to proofread simple comments. You may find it easier to avoid what i post.
have a good one.
We all KNOW they are liars. At this point, it’s understood.
I’ll trust my lyin’ eyes.
You mean we’re too goody too shoes not to use napalm on these illegals?
Pueblo sin Fronteras has a track record of links with the international Quaker movement, historical Democratic Party donors, U.S. government bureaucrats, and perhaps even a senior Mexican diplomat.——https://www.independentsentinel.com/here-are-the-likely-organizers-of-the-caravan-mob/
Jack Pershing with a bit of Sherman or Patton.
Besides, the more cruel we are to them, the sooner it can end.
Wow. Including the headline, that piece uses the word ‘migrant(s)’ NINE times.
Tear gas makes concertina wire so much more effective.
You do not want to be in concertina wire when tear gas is dropped upwind.
Media will NEVER show you this....
The EU is now interfering in US border/immigration matters?!
The highly organized Illegal Invaders are given instructions on how to breach US border. (vid @ link)

quick federal indictments for all these mfs
dont use spellcheck when I write informally
"IN THE POST TO WHICH I RESPONDED" Eschewing spellcheck and yelling are choices but not good excuses or explanations for poor grammar.
One of the local retail establishments posted a simplistic yet irritating Quaker poster by their front door when our son was in Iraq 2003-2004, and that tipped us off to them.
You may find it easier to post your comments coherently- I think is what hes saying.
