A woman trying to help what she thought was a needy mother and her baby has been fatally stabbed in Baltimore.
The good Samaritan was identified by police as 52-year-old Jacquelyn Smith, who was riding in a car with relatives Saturday when they saw a woman carrying what appeared to be a baby.
The woman was holding a sign that read, "Please Help me feed my Baby."

Where they hire female jail guards to hand out drugs, weapons and sex to the prisoners.
Never give out money at street corners. It teaches them to associate people with food.. A fed bear is a dead bear!
As for “her children”, the sad puppy beside them, the pregnant belly, the homemade crutch...in the bum trade those are known as “props”.

Then I looked at the ‘paid content’ images
just below the article and found all four
of them were things I’ve been looking at or
buying in the last few weeks. Weird feeling.
I’ve been penniless in my life some times but I have never begged on the street.
I found a way to keep going.
Seeing perfectly healthy people wanting handouts sickens me.
The city? There aren't that many streets left where there's a feeling of safety, even around the hotels, stadiums, and train station. What happens when incidents like this become common and they lose their convention, tourism, and port revenue?
She worked in the same building as I do. An engineer. We got the notification this morning. I knew her well enough to chat in the elevator.

There’s a bum who hangs out on the corner just north of Baltimore holding a sign said his house burned down.
He’s been there with the same sign for a couple years.
Just north of there lives an old man. He has some sort of neck problem and appears to be unable to lift his head.
He walks along the road constantly. I see him nearly every time I drive by. Wears raggedly old clothes and looks headless from behind. I can’t even make my neck ride as low as his.
He just walks around. I don’t know him or his story, just see him walking and being as productive as he can. Quite different from the bum lying about his house.
So sorry for you. What a very sad story, and clearly close to home for you.

I NEVER EVER open my wallet to beggars on the street. If I want to give charity, I do it online. NYC is wall to wall beggars and panhandlers. Lots of them get your attention and get you to open your wallet, and then a confederate steps out of nowhere to grab that wallet or do even worse. Sometimes we even get beggars putting their hand out for money inside kosher groceries and restaurants. They figure we Jews are charitable people and will give. Lots do, but not me. Some even know the beggars by name! I’ll be darned if I’m gonna open my wallet right out on the street or even in a store and hand over my cash to what I think is a fake. And, don’t we give enough welfare, food stamps, free medical care, etc. to the indigent? They also need to beg for tax-free income? I heard that several of the regulars around here actually own homes.

Possibly the most disgusting practice I ever witnessed was in Mumbai, India. Beggar women carried babies that appeared to be very sick/dead, while crying and begging for money. Talking to the locals, these women "rent" babies that are drugged and unconscious as props to shock their marks. The babies do not last but a couple weeks before they die. It would be disturbing, but not surprising to see such an act here in the future.

Those who are not just scamming people out of their money are mostly insane and dangerous. Interact with them at your own risk... Too bad the poor Samaritan didn't understand this.
No, Republicans believe in personal charity. Dems on the other hand, believe in Govt charity and tend to be quite uncharitable personally. Trust me, I have observed this phenomenon repeatedly over the years. Of course, there are exceptions, one of the most personally generous people I know is a gentleman who is liberal democrat to the core and then there are Republicans, some who frequent this board, who appear to be the most uncharitable people imaginable. What you need to understand, is that being a conservative, does not mean that since you have yours, you should not be charitable towards those less fortunate, you don’t have to, of course, but you should, and if you show compassion toward others, that certainly does not mean you are a democrat. Also, being a conservative DOES NOT MEAN supporting the disenfranchisement of half of the human race, even if their creeds, colors, races, or political philosophies are different than yours just because what is found or not found in their nether regions under any circumstances what so ever. If you do, then you are not a classical liberal, which I believe, is who conservatives truly are in the western world.
