Donald Trump’s Attorneys Seek $800,000 in Legal Fees, Penalties from Stormy Daniels
Breitbart ^ | 12/5/18 | Katherine Rodriguez

An attorney for President Trump requested the court obtain $800,000 in legal fees and penalties from porn star actress Stormy Daniels for her unsuccessful defamation lawsuit against the president.

Attorney Charles Harder said his firm spent more than 500 hours and $390,000 in legal fees defending the president and asked the court to press for just as much money in sanctions to deter “frivolous defamation cases.”

“This action is virtually unprecedented in American legal history,” Harder wrote in court papers. Daniels “not only brought a meritless claim for defamation against the sitting president of the United States, but she also has engaged, along with her attorney, in massive national publicity.”

Stormy doesn’t have any money. She can’t hire a lawyer to sue another lawyer the trash don’t do that. And Avenati don’t have any money any way. What she has to shake is worn out like an old biker’s jacket. She’s screwed bigger than any porno she ever made.

I won’t ever forget how that woman literally basked giddily in the glaring limelight. It so disgusts me. I’m happy this is her payback and hopefully more to come for disgracing our President, our country and our people.

And some idiot wants to brag about it. “Hey, Honey! After the sales meeting last night I got a BJ from Stormy Daniels. Oh, crap!”

She’d better get busy; at $10 a pop, that’s a lot of Lewinskis! ;)

I don’t care if, ‘Daddy Didn’t Love Her.’ Take out the trash.

No. Contingency fees lawyer shares winning not losing. He is out his legal fees if he loses.

Guess we see why Stormy suddenly noticed that Avenatti filed this case without her permission.

It’s a tough call on which dirtbag is worse. But Stormy broke her agreement with Trump, blamed her former attorney .. I’m guessing Stormy is the liar on this one.

Remember how much the media portrayed Avenatti and Daniels as heroes?

The “no authorization” claim doesn’t help her. When she found out about the unauthorized filing did she fire the lawyer and dismiss the case? Uh... no. She went on a nationwide tour pimping (you’ll excuse the expression) the suit. It’s every bit as much hers as if she’s walked up to the clerk’s window and filed it herself.

The guy has MAJOR financial problems, IRS being a big one. He keeps “wiggling” & saying it’s not his firm or different entities, character assassination, overblown, sensational reporting, etc. He’s defaulted on payment to the IRS & to a former colleague (who now has a $10 million judgement on one of CPL’s law firms). He’s up to his eyeballs in muck while proclaiming he’s not.

A real lawyer may have advised her that a malpractice suit against her attorney may be her only way out of this.

Anything under $1,000,000 for violating a confidentiality agreement is quite reasonable these days. Isn’t this actually less than his original payout + legal fees in defending the violation?

It’s logical to sue the lawyer for malpractice if he pushed a bad suit to such an extent that he put her in additional jeopardy.

But, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will Trump’s lawyers take the judgement and attempt to impound Stormy’s assets? She can ill afford to sue Avenatti, because it seems she was hard up enough for money that she let herself be used for this ridiculous suit in the first place. Moreover, Avenatti is in terrible shape financially. You can’t squeeze blood out of a stone, although it might be fun to watch it attempted.

This is something I know a lot about (i.e. “judgments”).

If Trumps lawyers “choose” to pursue this mercilessly, she will be lucky to keep an extra pair of underwear. A functioning checking account is out of the question. Some credit card companies will cancel you even if your payment record is stellar. She can keep her car and house if she wants. But, “liquidity” is hard to hold on to with an aggressive lawyer on your tail. (no pun intended)

I would not want to be facing what she is facing. If she can find a lawyer to do it, she should sue Avenatti.

I think its interesting that the award of attorney’s fees falls entirely on the client, and not at all on the attorney, who is supposed to know when he’s skirting the edge of acceptable practice.

She might be better off if there's a judgement that this was truly one of the most frivolous lawsuits ever. It ought to help her inevitable lawsuit to stick Avenatti with it.
