PARIS (AP) — The Latest on France protests (all times local):

1 p.m.

French left-wing opposition parties are seeking a no-confidence vote in President Emmanuel Macron's government amid growing protests and fears of violence.

The Socialist Party, far-left Defiant France and the Communist Party are setting aside their divisions and promising to submit the request to the lower house of parliament, or National Assembly, on Monday. The assembly would hold a no-confidence motion within 48 hours of the request.

The left-wing parties alone don't have nearly enough votes to bring down the government, since Macron's centrist Republic on the Move party has a strong majority in the 577-seat house. But they are trying to attract support from other opposition forces.

The government is trying to calm tensions but with little success. The transport minister met Thursday with truckers' unions but they maintained their promise to go on strike Sunday.

This Is what happens when a country’s leader doesn’t believe in his country. Maggot (Macron) doesn’t believe in his or any other country. He wants a one world government. He wants to do away with cultural identity. We all should be one world order zombies. Doing what the elitists delete us to do.

Poor France; it has had 17 constitutions or charters and five republics since the French revolution.

It seems the one thing the French people have agreed on most of all is protesting and forming mobs until whatever government they have gives in to the mob or resigns. And why not, that’s essentially what the French revolution was - the success of the mob.

Two great forces exist in world history. Internationalism and nationalism. In a conflict, nationalism always wins. Internationalism is represented by Alexander the Great’s Cosmopolitanism, Imperial Rome, Universal Catholic Christendom of the Middle Ages, Communism, Islamic Umma, and now One world UN, and EU. All have, in time failed. Globalism only helps International corporations. But in the end the Nation State will win—The Rich multinationals have the money, but the Nation states have the guns. EU will fail—be taken over by Germany or Russia. France is following the right path. Macron is on the wrong side of history.

France is not only torn between gloablism and nationalism, it remains torn between the philosophical ideals the French revolution claimed to embody and the means of achieving them - the mob. Even if the “nationalists” win out and France, it will continue to remain unstable, limping from one constitution and one republic to another. Why? It has all become embeded in the Culture, which is stronger than ideologies or religion. Just as in Russia and China, it is culture that maintains a steady path, even as the politics changes the appearance, but not the substance of political power.

——since Macron’s centrist Republic on the Move party has a strong majority ——

Momenteous events are in process...... fun to behold
