You would think that people on our side could read.
But they cant.
They launch into their “hot take”, and end up looking like idiots.
And the names are always the same damn people.
Not really. I’ve been with POTUS since the “Mexican rapist” speech. But today is his Waterloo if he really surrenders this battle without a fight. I am beginning to think he doesn’t want a wall either. He’s certainly not willing to engage the GOP over it. That’s for sure.

It’s a sunshine pumping day dream to believe that “the military is going to build the wall”. Deep State runs DOD. They don’t want a wall. Kelly hit the roof when the idea was brooched. Mattis is also a political operator unwilling to lead there. An activist judge will no doubt help them stymie POTUS here. It’s all theater and we are being played. Again.
When all you have left is fairy tales like that you know the battle is lost. The military has already begun withdrawing from the border. Trump just won’t fight this battle for whatever his reason. Mueller or he just doesn’t want a wall. I don’t care at this point. I just want him to fight for what he claims to want.
It worked well in CA which used to be a reliably Republican state. Now a repub couldn’t get elected if he or she were the only one on the ballot. The Latino/welfare bum/poor people/ govt employee /illegal alien voters only vote for the socialist candidate.
So if they get the money to accomplish what they want.....that is a “Waterloo”?
Why? Because you wanted the pseudo-shutdown more than you cared about the actual task they wanted to accomplish, which seems to be a theme here.
For people that supposedly care about border security, many of you were willing to leave that all out there just for the “fun” and entertainment of a shutdown.

What the hell are you talking about. Once the wall is built and the flow is stopped the free money NOT given to additional illegals via benefits will pay for the wall.

IMHO it looks bad because last week at a the public meeting with Trump Schumer and Pelosi, Trump said he would be proud to shut the government down as it pertains to wall funding.
Sadly, though probably not the reality, I think it makes him look weak to the casual observer :(

It’s a trial balloon. Somebody at the WH is floating the idea to see what our reaction would be to surrendering on the Wall.
So the $5B is off the table but he still gets $1.3B, right? Previously the dems had agreed to a House bill approach that included $1.3B for the wall.
If this means there is zero funding for the wall that would be troubling.

Trump didn’t agree to anything...the article says they “could” back down on wall funding, but I suspect that is if they can obtain the funding via other means.
No this is CNBC, Fox Business is talking about it now. And Sara Sanders said it.
