When the U.N. released its latest climate report in October, it warned that without unprecedented action, catastrophic conditions could arrive by 2040.
For Amy Jordan, 40, of Salt Lake City, a mother of three teenage children, the report caused a crisis.
The emotional reaction of my kids was severe, she told NBC News. There was a lot of crying. They told me, 'We know whats coming, and its going to be really rough.
She struggled too, because there wasn't much she could do for them. I want to have hope, but the reports are showing that this isnt going to stop, so all we can do is cope, she said.
The increasing visibility of climate change, combined with bleak scientific reports and rising carbon dioxide emissions, is taking a toll on mental health, especially among young people, who are increasingly losing hope for their future. Experts call it climate grief, depression, anxiety and mourning over climate change.
Dr. Lise van Wanksteren, a psychiatrist in Washington and co-founder of the Climate Psychiatry Alliance, said its becoming harder for patients to ignore the threats of climate change.
For a long time we were able to hold ourselves in a distance, listening to data and not being affected emotionally, she said. But its not just a science abstraction anymore. Im increasingly seeing people who are in despair, and even panic.

an ice age will do that to ya.
This CAN'T be real, right? It's from the Onion, right?
This is EXACTLY what they want, to depress and scare the population, so they can ram through anything they want. Mission Accomplished.

This whole climate hysteria is so evil. It stresses people out and the elite NWO sickos and their media minions who push this false agenda are trying to blackmail the public. All the climate pushers really want is for the little people to pay them more money through controlled government carbon taxes “to alleviate the horror.” It’s such a scam. It’s really worked out well in France. /s
It’s not the climate change causing the emotional turmoil, it’s the hysteria. Swap out climate change with the dangers of asteroid strike, get hysterical that we’re only tracking 80%, tell kids that the sky could fall on them any day now, keep telling them they’re going to die from an asteroid strike, and then tell them that the mean people don’t want them to be safe. Let’s see how that works out for the children and their emotional stability.
According to Weird Al Gore, NYC is under water!
It's nothing more than indoctrination leading to mass hysteria.

I told my daughter move to edmunton
I think you are right. You can’t control a happy and content people. You need them fearful and agitated in order to have them demand change. At that point they will welcome pretty much anything, no matter how it negatively effects them.
I think they should start a Global Warming GoFundMe. All true believers should have a voluntary means to hand over all their worldly possessions to the Cause. It’ll make them feel so virtuous.
If you read the article, there is a silver lining:
DISTRAUGHT OVER HAVING KIDS
Almost all of the young people interviewed for this article said they were struggling with the ethical implications of having children.
Im definitely not having kids, said Marcela Mulholland, 21, a student at the University of Florida in Orlando and a participant in the Uplift session. I dont have hope that we will avoid climate catastrophe. The changes that need to happen arent happening.
This article is baloney, salami, olive loaf and any other lunch meat you can think of. I’ll add a crock of manure on the side.
What a good mom! /s
Emotion is a foundation and a Hallmark of liberalism and the Democrat party. What might not affect a rational person can be highly emotional trauma to a fragile liberal.
How about Grade “A” BS
