The Guardian ^ | 1/15/19 | Heather Stewart

Theresa May has sustained the heaviest parliamentary defeat of any British prime minister in the democratic era after MPs rejected her Brexit deal by a resounding majority of 230.

Brexit-supporting Conservatives joined with opposition parties and the Democratic Unionist party to trounce the government in the “meaningful vote”, which the prime minister delayed before Christmas in the vain hope of winning over waverers.

There is the matter of the Brexit Exit Fee to be paid to the EU.

They could not pay, but the EU being a far stronger economic power than the UK will extract their pound of flesh.

Complicating things are the Democratic Unionist Party, Northern Ireland Protestants who May needs in her governing coalition in order to keep the majority. They're opposed to a hard border, but also to the Irish backstop.

Yeah, that whole thing turns out to be very complicated. A majority of the Northern Irish voters voted to remain in the EU, but they really don't want to face a vote that might be in favor of pulling them out of the UK. Certain Republic politicians see it as an opportunity to reunite Ireland altogether. This is their 13th year without the checkpoints that were such bomb magnets during The Troubles, and nobody really wants to start that up again, or almost nobody. What certainly did just blow up was May's coalition.

As I understand, that deal (Mays) was voted down, that means that March 29th is the end. They exit the EU in what they call a hard exit, which it should have been done anyway. BUT, there are some shenanigans going on and they might weasel a new vote on Brexit-which is a crime in itself.
Then there is another type of shenanigans going on I dont understand. It would amount to a revolt within the political minority and THAT should lead to a civil war.

“Pardon my ignorance, but what is the Irish Backstop”. Great question. Let me try and others can build on it. What the globalist wanted to do was funnel all trade and rules on immigration etc through Ireland to the one world EU. The British people would be lied to and told “ ok, you are out of the EU— “you” meaning Britain BUT you have to use the Irish Back stop to make any deal— you can’t contract or trade except through Ireland. It was a scam to defeat Brexit.

“Brexit is dead.”

No.

It means Britain will exit the EU in March without a burdensome “deal”.

A clean cut.

No, Brexit will now happen automatically and whatever adjustments need to be made will be made over time after Brexit.

We live in a post democratic world. The globalists will find a way to slip out of a hard Brexit and nobody will do a thing about it.
