Sounds like the early days of the Pee Dossier. IIRC, Buzzfeed was the one who finally published reports about it — so that other news venues could report about it.
Buzzfeed should be listed as ‘zero credible’; no surprise that NBC News would now have an article about the Buzzfeed article.

Mr. Cohen knows that when a plot against the emperor failed, the conspirators were given two options, both unpleasant. Mr. Cohen also knows that he will be a guest of the Federal Bureau of Prisons which is under the control of the chief executive. No doubt the administrators will make his incarceration as interesting as possible.
Buzzfeed story is falling apart quickly.
The two journos who wrote it are giving vastly different accounts of what evidence they have.
One of the journos involved (Jason Leopold) has been caught lying before (said Carl Rove had released Valerie Plame’s name and was going to be indicted - all false). And has been admitted to rehab in the past for drug addiction.
It will be another short-term embarrassment for losers like Schiff and the Democrats, but they, and the media will eventually sweep all their lies under the rug.
