Three men died after a botched home robbery of a man who had his fully-loaded AK-47 nearby

Is an AK drum OK in AK’s with stamped receivers? I’ve read some were made from heavier gauge stampings than others.
Sold my milled frame AK Legend years ago, unfortunately.
Back in the late 60s a guy in AZ had a second home/ranch that was constantly broken into so he set a rifle on a chair aimed at the door when opened and sure enough he hit the guy and was sued for everything he owned for excessive force or something along those lines. The moral of that story is your life and not your property needs protection.
Notice an uptick in home invasions by more than one perp at a time lately? Stay ready.
okay .. .. thanks
Wonder if the robbers were Cartel?
He only got 3 out of 5....needs more range time.
Yeah, the typical home invasion doesn't involve five perps.
Thats a tough pill to swallow! The milled Poky is the best specimen of an AK ever made available to the civilian market. They go for $3-4K now.
...it makes a very distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it.
Had trouble with the other two? Maybe next time.
Awesome practice for when he gets attacked by a herd of deer.
3 out of 5 = 60%.
Pretty good, doubt he was shooting FMJ. Russian hollow point is real cheap in 7.62X39, and would be very deadly. Similar to what happened at this Houston event.
My AK is a Romanian stamped receiver - and, after a little bit of custom filing to the magazine well, I had the drum fitting and engaging the lug as it should.. So far, the rig performs properly.
The new AK’s manufactured in the U.S. by various armorers, are consistent in their tolerances. However, that is not the case with foreign AK’s - No two foreign AK’s are identical. A Chinese AK is not like a Russian AK, which is not like a Romanian, etc.
A 30-round mag may fit your Chinese AK, but not your Russian or Romanian AK. That is why you need to purchase magazines from the same country as where was made the rifle. Many times, the “after market” mags will not fit a particular weapon. At least the mags made of steel can be “adapted” in most cases, with a little filing. Not so much with those made of plastic - if not at all.
Just curious, have You had any Feed Problems with the Drum ?
Ive seen IIRC 50 or 100 Round Drums for a 1911. Of course the thing would need a Monopod.
He's now serving life in prison.
Five uninvited people force their way into someone’s home wherein the homeowner rightfully shoots the uninvited people. Hmmm. Sounds like a microcosm of what should happen on our southern border.
Some as in idiot race baiters say the CIA made crack for inner cities
Did we allow contra leaders to fund themselves via the cocaine biz?
Yes to a degree
Did the CIA send cocaine to inner city poor with baking soda and instructions....thats a ridiculous assertion
Crack was first made by Jamaican gangs in New York City
It migrated west from there
Contra associates sold cocaine from Miami like anyone else
A comprehensive FBI study and report found that in a shootout scenario agents missed about 75% of their shots. Extra ammo is essential.
Two got away, remember Mr Homeowner, center of mass!
That's scary considering every training school I have ever been to teaches you are responsible for every round that goes down range. I would think that shooting while moving for cover would be the only place where you might miss shots to that degree. Shooting while moving is difficult.
