When the Los Angeles Rams secured their spot in Super Bowl 53, they ensured at least their cheerleaders would make history.
As members of the Rams spirit squad, Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies, will be the first men to perform with an NFL cheerleading team during a Super Bowl.
When the Rams spot in Atlanta was official, the two went on Twitter to share the upcoming historic moment.

We had male cheerleaders at our high school in the late 60’s. They were called Yell Kings and were not homos, although they did wear white pants.
Is the general viewing public asking for this?
I’m not a sports watching fan in general, so I don’t know.

My ex-MIL was personal secretary of Texie Waters, who trained and choreographed the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. A cheerleader got a hundred fifty dollars a game, or $2400 a season. They also have mandatory practices 25 times per week during the season.
Why anyone would want a ‘job’ like that passes me by.
Prolly gonna get flamed for this, however, there have been male cheerleaders in college f/b forever so not sure why it’s an issue. Having said that, never understood what good they do anyway, male or female. Never heard of a team winning a game because of the cheerleaders.
Fringe benefits out weigh the salary.
