They're going for the gold.

Democrats have started dropping their marbles.

Now we have the Colorado Senate passing a bill to direct their Electoral College delegates to vote for the winner of the National popular vote in Presidential elections !!!!!

It's all part of the efforts called "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" and it's blasting off like a rocket.

Probably unConstitutional but they'll do it anyway and wait for the SCOTUS to decide as they continue the anti-American onslaught of corrupt BS.

Democrats definitely have some screws coming loose as the mental cases mount up in popularity 🤣

Colorado Senate Passes Bill Nixing Electoral College in Favor of Popular Vote

The Democratic-majority Colorado state Senate passed a bill this week that would give the state’s electoral votes in presidential elections to the candidate who wins the popular vote instead of the Electoral College.
Colorado’s Senate passed the bill in a 19-16 vote Tuesday along party lines.

The bill would mandate that the state’s members of the Electoral College vote for the presidential candidate who wins the popular vote.

So, essentially CO is surrendering to the behemoth California, which will, by its illegal practices, ensure the dems always come out ahead in the “popular vote.” It no longer wants to have an impact.

Yes. It’s likely not unconstitutional because states decide how their electors are chosen. It might disenfranchise the voters of the state though which is a whole other situation. Democrats know they can get away with this because they don’t believe in federalism, only the tyranny of the majority which they can breed and keep under control in their megalopolises of misery

So, illegal voters in some states can dictate how another state will allot their Electoral votes?

Such a law totally annihilates the votes of small population counties which tend to vote republican. As it is, the denver area carries the vote for pretty much the entire state which is usually liberal. That Denver area needs a serious gerrymandering operation to allow the remaining counties to count in the vote.

CAN they do this? Yep, they can. And the reason they can is because there is little to no respect for law. State law can be ignored in favor of ‘home rule’. And because there’s nobody to back up the ‘little guy’. No point in fighting city hall type sentiments.

Finally, they can do this simply because they want to.

The pull of democracy often overwhelms societies. As men are naturally drawn to the scent of a woman, passion instead of reason lures societies toward all power to the people. Why shouldn’t our representatives, senators and presidents be popularly elected? Because democracy isn’t perfume but rather a poison that terminates in tyranny.

The Framers' President.

To limit the practical choice of presidential electors to one of two leaders of outright political factions guarantees recurring appointment of presidents with little loyalty to the Constitution.

The Electoral College is part of the Constitution and its purpose was to avoid large cities from choosing who would preside over all of the United States.

In 2016, if one subtracts the cities of Los Angeles and Chicago, Donald Trump ties or wins the popular vote. Subtract the 4 Burroughs of NYC that went against him and he wins the popular vote by several million votes.

And that is not even accounting for voter fraud which is just now starting to leak out in official investigations.

The EC is indeed a vanguard that protects the Republic against the mob tyranny of big city corruption.

But those who for whatever reason believe the popular vote is the true sign of public expression, that it should be predominate as an untouchable principle, they should note that the Trump campaign was planned around the EC and would have been planned differently if a popular vote victory was the focus. In other words, Donald Trump won the election according to the rules laid out and if those rules were somehow changed to winning a popular vote, then Donald Trump’s campaign would have gone out to win the popular vote and he would likely have won that way too.

So the next time we encounter someone that smirks and mocks with the refrain “but she won the popular vote”, we can say it doesn’t matter, she lost her bid to be President, and if popular vote is the rule, we’ll win that too.

They should just rename the state as Colofornia
They just disenfranchised every citizen whose vote is lost to massive democrat fraud in the ssnctuary cities of illegals on the east and west coasts
They threw away the precious rights and protections of a Republic to mob rule aka “ democracy”

If Trump wins the popular vote in 2020, all the liberal States he lost who pass this thing will have to award him their Electoral College votes after all.

With California's "ballot harvesting" laws now fully in play, I don't think any Republican presidential candidate will ever again win the popular vote.

“I hope the dem wins Colorado and Trump wins the popular vote outright or in a 3 way race, and they lose the presidency because they’re that stupid”

This is the only way the Leftitsts will recognize the arrogant stupidity of their law. The law nullifies citizens’ votes. It is a law of disenfranchisement.

So under this new and improved system would Colorado have voted for Maduro or Guaidó?

I can totally see that happening, then the very same idiots that promoted this idea would be screaming to remind it retroactively.

The Electoral College proved its worth by preventing California and New York from stealing the election with illegal votes.

Why do suburban and the rural countryside people allow their State “Capitol” to always reside in the most populist big city, instead of where they live??

Because CoC Republicans are pussies and surrender losers.

We vote Republican, but know they are losers.

This would be unconstitutional as hades under the legal and spirit of the law. There is no such thing as a codified “national popular vote” for the Presidency. There is not a uniformed standard of voting laws/regulations to oversee a national vote. Each State has their own set of requirements, thus depriving a voter from another State concerning a “national vote” if this were to happen.

The Federal government would have to amend the Constitution for this to happen in order to set a uniform voting standard (Division of Power is already codified). Yes, some rogue judge or Appellate Court could go AWOL on the law in theory, however, this will not sit well with the current makeup of the USSC.

The appointment of Electors for President and Vice President is an absolute prerogative of the fifty State Legislatures (plus the 3 DC Electors, which the States unwisely awarded to Congress in 1960).

Voting by individuals is not mentioned in the Constitution. It just so happens that all 50 State Legislatures have chosen idiots voting as their method of appointing Electors, but it is not required. If the Colorado Legislature, for example, wanted to choose its Electors by flipping a coin, they would be just as validly appointed as if the voters of Colorado chose them.

So, there is no such thing as a “national popular vote”, No one tallies such a vote, it’s not subject to validation, or to recount, and there is no authority who can certify it.

What Colorado has done is to appoint it’s electors however California, New York, and Illinois do it in any given year.
