Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz on Thursday said the Department of Justice’s discussions to employ the 25th Amendment to oust President Trump-- if true-- amounted to a coup.
Dershowitz appeared on Fox News’ “Tuck Carlson Tonight,” to give his take on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s descriptions of Justice Department meetings where he said officials discussed ousting the president.
Evoking the 25th Amendment, Dershowitz said, would a fundamental misuse of its original purpose. It was originally “about Woodrow Wilson having a stroke. It’s about a president being shot and not being able to perform his office,” Dershowitz added.

It is very telling to watch a lefty who expresses an iota of nonconformity become a virtual pariah, and then, once the the scales are off the eyes, no more love to lose, all sorts of things become obvious to him.
The decision to fire Comey was based in part on the memo written by Rosenstein supporting the decision. Yet, Rosenstein took part in discussions to invoke the 25th Amendment, discussions triggered by the decision to fire Comey. It seems clear these discussions were as characterized by Dershowitz as an attempted coup d’tat. It is also clear the conspirators acted with impunity secure in the belief that their plotting would never become known. Unfortunately for them, we know what they did. Unfortunately for us, nothing will be done.

If the Deepers could make the case Russia elected Trump they could also say Pence’s position as VP was the result of the same Russian effort and equally lawless. Who would be POTUS? Ryan. Anyone believe he would walk away from that prospect. Especially when he nominates a Dem to be VP

The coup started when Hillary paid 6 million for the fake dossier and gave it to McCain. His chief of staff gave it to the FBI. The FBI gave it to DOJ who gave it to the WH where Obama approved a false application for a FISA warrant 4 times. Obama already had reports Russia was trying to interfere and those had nothing to do with trump because OB told Russia to “knock it off.”
This all started an investigation which continues today. All part of a coup attempt.
The 25th is plan B or C.

Not so. It was just 45 years ago that a successful Dem / media / deep state coup forced the president of the US out of office, having previously removed his conservative VP in favor of a "moderate." One result of that coup was the communist genocide throughout Southeast Asia.
None of those mentioned by McCabe was a member of Congress or. a cabinet secretary. Yet the proposed to wire the DAG to get evidence on the POTUS and to solicit cabinet members. This was not talking about it over a beer. They had a goal and a plan to achieve it. And if they had a scintilla of evidence, where has it been these last two years? No, this was a coup in the making.

PDJT was daily speaking extemporaneously on a wide range of issues and making many, many good decisions. There has been zero, zilch, nada discussion of any doctor that had examined him and found his capabilities lacking.
The occasion that brought this to the fore was admitted to be Comey's firing. Comey had it coming, of course. Lying to Congress and leaking classified information can get you fired for cause any day of the week. But Trump didn't need for cause to exist to fire Comey. He could have legally done it with no cause whatsoever.
So with Comey's firing as a backdrop that reportedly angered them, and about which Comey hasn't ceased throwing all manner of verbal trash toward PDJT, it's clear these discussion were retribution that they clearly imagined they could have an active role in bringing about. (It's a coup.)
In light of the participation in the FISA warrant, known to be bogus and paid for by DNC and Hillary (but I repeat myself), and money to procure such was clandestinely laundered through Fusion GPS and Perkins Coie to a spy, a foreign national, who vociferously exhibited extreme political animus against Trump, there is no other interpretation than coup.
As Tucker said, you can't have recorded discussions with a round-table of hitmen about killing your wife, then think you're out of the woods on any criminality because killer hasn't yet successfully pulled the trigger, even while multiple of the hitmen have already testified against you. (Ok, Tucker didn't quite say all that verbatim, but that was the gist.)
