Signing him even for free would probably have cost them 2/3rds of their audience.

The irony is that most of us would make a point of NOT watching an AAF game if Colin was playing in it.

Colin is entitled to ask whatever he wants. Only his liberal allies will be stupid enough to think he’s worth it.

Except that Namath said he was going to win a super bowl and he did.

He just puts this large amount out because he knows that nobody will pay it & if they did his martyr status is dead.

Can’t cut it anymore in football, and no brains to fall back on to do a real job. Hence, the frustration, in spite of all his wealth.

I’d like to give him a knee.

Well, there’s been so much hype about this pea-brained, mediocre, racialist has-been, that his joining the AAF probably would attract a fair amount of publicity and eyeballs to the new league... at least for the first few of his games. He’d be one of the league’s few “name” players, much like Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Doug Flutie & Herschel Walker were in the USFL. It’s not necessarily unreasonable for him to expect to be paid more than the other AAF players. But $20 mil?! Uh, no, Colin. Dream on. I don’t think he’s serious about wanting to actually play.

One day he’s going to break-up with the radical Muslim girlfriend and the hormone fog will lift from his brain. At that moment he’ll realize “OMG! What did I do?”

He’s dating Michelle Obama? Barry must be relieved!

He’d be one of the league’s few “name” players,

Yes, but his "name" is based on whining off the field, not winning on the field. The AAF was started exactly because of his nonsense. Why would they invite it in, for a QB who has won all of 3 games SINCE 2014?!? When he is now rusty, over 30, and never shown any ability to win without Jim Harbaugh behind him? He had lower QB ratings and higher sack percentages than his own backup QB (Blaine Gabbert) behind the same O-line.

Even his Wikipedia entry lists him as an activist first, and a football player second.

He went 25-14 in his 3 seasons with Harbaugh, and then 3-16 after Harbaugh left. Who was the one with talent, after all?

Younger QBs with more wins since 2014.... Marcus Mariota - 27... Dak Prescott - 32 (was in college in 2015)... His old backup QB, Blaine Gabbert, has only started 21 games since 2014, and HE has 8 wins in that time frame.

Blaine Gabbert went 4-9 as a starter in SF in 2013-2014....

Colin Kaepernick went 3-16 as a starter in SF in 2013-2014...

with the same coaches and same teammates...

Is, uhhhh.... is Blaine Gabbert getting $20 million now? Ah, no... he's getting $1.5 million from Tennessee, the lowest salary of any QB with at least 48 starts... and he is a backup... with better numbers and more wins than Colin.... under the exact same conditions, on the exact same team... and is younger... and hasn't been out of the game for 4 years.

The empty hype is just appalling.

He must have had a very tough childhood. $20 million is a lot.

Don't look now: He just "settled" with the NFL.

NFL reaches financial settlement with Colin Kaepernick

In a stunning decision, quarterback Colin Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid have reached a financial settlement with the NFL in their joint collusion complaint against the league and will take no further action in the case.

Hope this is the last time we hear from this loser.

Nobody in the NFL will even give him $1 mil to sit on the bench as a 3rd string backup.

I don’t know about that. Colon walked away from his last contract while being a loser. Owners don’t hire dolts.

new football league would not allow Kaep to take a knee

According to the Washington Post of San Jose in the East Bay (sometimes known as the East Bay Times), the XFL, Vincent McMahon's league that's coming back next year, Copper-Nickel was approached to play there. HOWEVER, his contract would require no kneeling or any of his other foolish behaviors.

And the terms are non-negotiable, according to the article. If you aren't willing to accept the rules, don't let the door hit you on the way out!

The Alliance of American Football didn’t say no to Colon Caperdick’s demand right away.

They were too busy rolling on the floor, laughing like hell.

“Don’t look now: He just “settled” with the NFL.”

This is bad news. I was hoping the dork had burned through all of his cash by now, and would be sizing bratty teens feet for Nike’s in some Foot Locker store.
