Where does gas tax and toll revenues go to? Do they actually go towards maintaining the roads, or are they used for bike paths, green spaces, or spent along with the general fund like SS taxes are?

Local roads are crumbling. That’s because the OH tax structure directs most money, even local property taxes, to state and county government. I pay 8% sales tax in Cuyahoga Country. “Sin tax” and county funds are used for important stuff like improvements on NBA and MLB venues. Kasich doled out money for stuff like paving museum parking lots. Summary of rant...how about doing expenditures and profits in a way that doesn’t enrich deep-pocket donors and friends in your elitist environments?
